I use to skate on Fridays in London, I use to start my evening on the no: 73 bus and than on my skates.I have just moved to Sydney in March 2021 and do I miss it , Please come to Sydney , its hills and lots of hills pretty boring on my own. The Marshalls are pretty dull, unfortunatily .Did not realise how many amazing skaters in this group wow! I always wore purple , blue helmet if any one remembers me.

Very fun!! Excellent video, saludos from a 66yr old ice skater, now retired and skating on the hard costa rica!! Skate for life!! In these challenging times. What better challenge than inline skating!!! Thanks for your inspiration 🙏

I can't help but think of all the bystanders seeing all the skaters fly by, and some getting FOMO and heading straight to the skate shop...

Cant say I do not envy Londoners after this video - I went out to ride the biggest local park each day in the last 7 days and met only one other skater for the whole week. Lots of love for all skaters all around the globe!

I'm from Hull and I've only ever seen 2 other adults skating, People look at me like I'm a freak and they actually shout abuse. In London? Nobody bats an eyelid. 🤣

Very high quality documentary that conveys the scale of these events outstandingly. My friends who know I skate a lot were surprised by the number of people when they saw this. I was quite happy to see myself not once but six times in this movie too :)

Bill never underestimate your impact, you're an absolute icon, especially in the UK! Your videos convinced me early last year to finally take the plunge and get my own after being stuck to ice for so long

I ice skated from the age of 8 but not very often over the last 30 or so years, started inline skating 2019 in London whilst working there at the age of 54. One of the best moves I ever made. I'll never go on ice again, There's so much more to this. The tutorial videos etc ( Bill's included ) were a massive help and still are.

A group skate with Bill Stoppard must be epic. The only way it could get cooler is if he set the playlist for the night--I'm loving that house track!

You are lucky people can feel happiness and togetherness on wheels, not everyone can have beautiful and amazing experience like you.

It is not often I spend 45 mins on youtube being totally glued to a video, it was captivating, thank you for creating a brilliant inline documentary. I occasionally did the London Wednesday Night Skate and commuted for years almost daily to work on blades around London. The confidence to do that only came after learning your powerslide from watching your videos and knowing I could build up speed and then stop so quickly. Thanks!

Makes me so grateful to live here! Tbh I’ve always thought the pavements in London are a little grim, but you’ve made me appreciate how many great street spots we have. The Wednesday nights are a good place to start, as they are a bit more relaxed, thoguh still faster than the Sunday Stroll.

Now that's some skate culture... glad to see such a big following...

Ich fahre seit dreißig Jahren Rollerblade in Deutschland und habe die Neunzigerjahre miterleben können was Inline fahren anbetrifft. Das war die beste Zeit überhaupt. Hier in Frankfurt/Main sind wir beim Tuesday Night Skaten bis zu 5000 Skatern unterwegs gewesen! Das war einfach toll und ich bin glücklich das alles mitgemacht zu haben. Heute sind es wenige hundert bei dieser Aktion. Schade darum. Bin jetzt fünfundsechzig und fahre noch und es macht immer noch viel Spaß!😊

Nice catch!

This video felt like a Netflix action flick with some great cinematography and cool music to go with the skate flow. Been having a blast with my Ferrari GTB skates from Pro Skatersplace too. Worth the wait to watch and enjoyed it very much!!

I did the London group skate 20 years ago this coming February , so it was mostly hardcore people as it was (almost) freezing. The skate was unpleasant, did not talk to anyone, pace was too fast for my wife. She eventually crashed heavily on her hip when transferring from street to raise alleyway at speed. Despite being seen by people in the group, the group did not stop and we were left not knowing where the heck we were. We eventually took a taxi back to the hotel, as she was unable to skate. That was then... It appears to have improved.

It makes me very proud to see you skate so many familiar places in our city, making them that little bit more amazing in the process.

this is exactly what i needed to get back to skating the streets, im 31 and this really really helped, i thought i was too old and washed up, weak to do it, however you completely changed me and I THANK YOU legend!

Nothing for making one feel inferior like watching Bill do backwards crossovers on friggin cobblestones.

I'll have to go to London to and experience it! There is also fantastic group skates in Paris and Brussels. If you need some new material, come and visit us. 😉

Ive been watching your channel since 2011 or 2012. I started playing ice hockey and dabbled in roller skating because of you because you inspired me to get back out there and try roller skating on the street. Anyway Im so happy your channel has grown and garnered the much deserved attention. ❤

I agree .. I watched so many times .. and listen when skating .. gets me happy about the in-line skate culture and enjoying life. Accompanied me on my 3 week skate crash course before berlin skate marathon this weekend.. was awesome.. 2hrs25min 😅 Just made the cut.

Excellent video. Authentic narrative, awesome shots, super interesting profiles, and varied skating. I enjoyed it greatly.

Went to London 5 years ago with my ex very last minute and we could stay over at the place of a dear friend. I thought let's bring our skates this time because why not. And so we stumbled upon the Sunday stroll which was such an amazing experience. Hope to be back in London in a few months, will definitely bring a pair of skates again :)

Hey! I like all this footage a lot, the canal bits in london do definitely force you to slow down and take in the scenery as you say. I love them though because you can get from one end of the city to the other surrounded by swans and ducks instead of cars. I love all these quirky bits in london, it very nice to see it all compiled into this colorful video... LOVE SKATING!!

Next time you're in London, I recommend you join one of our 'unofficial' skates i.e. the unmarshalled skates we organise via the See You Next Tuesday Facebook group. A very different experience to the marshalled skate, we can go places the bigger skates can't go, and it's faster too!

Bill I just had the same thing as you... Cellulitis from my skates... Except mine had an abscess I was able to drain so no hospital or antibiotics. The cyst came out the other day and now it's healing up nicely. Haven't been able to skate 2 or 3 weeks now.. Hope to skate again soon, I just recently set up my twister 110mm skates....

The rain scene gave me anxiety since I dislocated my shoulder recently for the second time in the same stretch of road. Skated in the rain since then and if you’re careful it’s OK. I recommend the girl that was doing stairs get tortoise pads. Not sure if they are sold in the UK but very good quality hip, leg and butt protector. You can add your own foam for even more protection

I just messed up my right shoulder recently also. Probably tore something. Was ripping along and just landed a jump wrong and pitched forward right onto it. And then a couple of days later I did the same thing, trying to show off in front of some people and something happened with the landing again. Went onto the grass but then I fell on the same shoulder again because I hit a divot or something in the grass. It's been at least 3 weeks and it's still bothering me...guess it's time to have it looked at. I'm all helmeted and padded up and even wear crash pants but nothing on the shoulder. Never thought I needed something on that body part. Figures.
