I used to be a tiler and worked with guys that tiled some of the London underground stations. The last job i did for that company was a swimming pool in Butlers Wharf right next to Tower Bridge, you can see the building in one of your other videos.

As has been pointed out building at the beginning is the old U.C.H. in the early 80s used to spend a lot of time waiting outside for my girlfriend a student nurse there!

Building at the beginning is the University College Hospital. If you were a English trade person, you would be poking the tiling and ancient brickwork with a sharp intake of breath: "wot joker did this work then?" Nice to see the City I love being appreciated by fresh eyes. As an 'ex-Londoner', I get nostalgic, especially when I see the first Tube station sign, (Hanger Lane) as I drive in from Worcestershire. But half an hour later, having travelled about half a mile in congested traffic, that feeling somewhat dissipates!

06:44 - don't know if you already know, but the reason Big Ben is so shiny at the top is it has just had a 5-year, £80 million renovation completed! If you saw it when you originally planned, it would have been completely surrounded by scaffolding, so you came at the right time!

The building in the corner of St James’s Park is Duck Island Cottage which used to be the house for the St James’s Park bird keeper. I think it’s now used as offices and storage by the Royal Parks.

I always recommend Cambridge as a visit to visitors of the UK especially USA visitors...as there is a pub there called 'The Eagle' where Crick and Watson declared to find 'the code for life' and also the pub is where many USAF pilots and crew use to drink when flying out from Duxford sorties...There's a bar at the rear of the pub where the crews signed their names..in WW2...Also Cambridge is a great historical city but in relative terms is quite small and flat...No sky scrapers and the majority of buildings are old...and obviously a university city...My wife and I love it so much we got married there...I've enjoyed watching your great vids...Enjoy your stay in the UK...and have fun!!

You said that you love museums. You should definitely visit South Kensington! It's museum central! There's a plethora of smaller museums but the big 3, all housed in incredible Victorian gothic buildings, are the Natural History Museum, The Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. The latter is basically a museum of culture and design and is usually referred to as the 'V&A'. All 3 are amazing places and well worth a visit. :)

You need to watch the Trooping Of The Colours from last weekend where that open space at the bottom of the Mall really shows you what it's for. Back in the day when Whitehall was a Royal Palace it was the jousting grounds where all you've ever heard about knights and chivalry actually happened.

  • @Biketunerfy

@@WorldWideWolberts ahh you see that’s where it differs. They are some Americans that can do a British accent very well mainly actors like Johnny Depp with the Jack Sparrow pirate character or Robert Downey Jr with his Holmes character, I’ve even heard Morgan freeman do a good one so you see it takes training. A lot of Brits can Imamate the American accent very well but the hardest I would say is the south east from Georgia to the Carolinas to Imamate because they vary quite a lot but generally the southern accents are harder to Imitate overall. In the U.K. you can go town to town and the accents can change drastically like in 40 miles apart but I’m glad you enjoyed your selves, if you like beautiful scenic views come here in the summer months when it’s hot in July or august and go to the Lake District or the Peak District there are beautiful towns in the country side as old or even older than London.
