According to data compiled by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), during the period 7-13 October 2023 the Israeli-Palestinian war has caused around 3,200 deaths and 12,000 injuries from both sides.
Based on location, the largest number of Palestinian victims were in Gaza, namely around 1,900 fatalities and 7,696 injured people. Meanwhile, in the West Bank region, 49 people died and 950 people were injured.
On the other hand, Israeli casualties reached 1,300 people and 3,436 injured people.
Meanwhile, on the 7th day of the war, namely Friday (10/13/2023), all the new fatalities came from the Palestinian side, while no additional lives were lost from the Israeli side.
"Israeli bombing from air, sea and land has continued and increased throughout the Gaza Strip for seven consecutive days. Between Thursday night and Friday afternoon 382 people were killed in Gaza," said OCHA in its report, Friday (13/10 /2023).
"Palestinian armed groups in Gaza also continued to fire rockets at Israeli settlement centers. As of Friday evening, no new casualties in Israel had been reported," he continued.
OCHA has not recorded the latest number of refugees from the war. However, the number is expected to continue to increase.
"Around Thursday midnight local time (12/10/2023), the Israeli military ordered around 1.1 million people in the northern part of the Gaza Strip to evacuate to the south within 24 hours, ahead of military operations. Until Friday at 21.00 local time ( 10/13/2023), it is estimated that tens of thousands of people have been displaced," OCHA said.
"Before the order was issued, more than 400,000 Palestinians had already fled," he continued.
