Your videos have really helped me understand the bus industry, I just applied for Arriva north east and I was looking on KZread to try get a better understanding of buses. I am now working for Arriva and Monday was the first time I drove a bus ever and I loved it. All thanks to your videos for giving me the confidence to apply now I feel like I have a job for life.

My man, Saturday I took a wrong turning on a new route I was on near crystal palace, I had to do the Category D reversing exercise to get myself out of the hole ,and the bus was half full! the passengers where calm through .

Crossharbour used to have some go ahead buses like D6 and D8 few years back. But the last bus to go to tower transit (now stagecoach) is 135. 277 was the same this whole time

D6, D7 and D8 were initially operated by East London Bus Company (Stagecoach London) then it went to First London, then Docklands Buses.

I've just stumbled on your videos and I am listening with extreme interest. So let me start by saying that whenever you are in the company uniform, you are representing the company. Obviousely the applies when you clock on for duty but what you may not realise that this also applies when you are out and about in your uniform whether before or after duty. Keep this in mind as doing something whilst in uniform that can be deemed as bringing the company into disrepute can result in disaplinary action against you and can in some cases result in your dismissal. Ok at 06:22 you are going to adjust your mirrors, I would expect that you would ajust your wing mirrors before you leave the depot and I'm sure that actually being able to adjust your wing mirrors is part of the first vehicle check. Make sure all is ok before leaving the depot. 12:23 No room at all for anti- social driving staff. Being polite to passengers is part of the job and it should have been discussed as part of your training. In most parts of the country bus passenger numbers are declining and while this might not be the case in the TFL area, have a driver with a friendly smile with a please and thankyou as well can make all the difference. You dont mention checking the bus for lost propery at a terminus, I'm sure that you do check but it would have been nice to mention it. Shows people you care. A little careless of you to miss read your duty board on day two, a little note on your record if reported and maybe an interview with a manager of supervisor, they all build up so keep your record as clean as possible. A lot of plate changing, not good. If the service is not running well then come next route tender time another company might pick up the route. Road rage is common these days, we all know it happens and its not really worth mentioning on your channel. Just do not get involved for the reasons stated earlier. Stay safe, keep your nose clean and keep putting in for supervisor positions, eventually you might get one and then a Managers position. There are plenty of opportunities for advancement in public transport.

@@RennoHundred yes as far as I know ALL transit drivers must be in uniform, charter drivers have a couple exceptions. Anyway bro I just wanted to drop this on you, you're nothing but a number that can be replaced in a minute. You're young I started driving trucks about your age and then buses in mid 30s. @@RennoHundred Not too sure whether the driver noticed him specifically or not, we were together tho while he was filming the route and the driver noticeably slowed down some way down the route. Dunno whether he was late or something and was just rushing for a bit or if he thought he was being watched or smth. Not that we particularly minded the fast driving, as B9TLs are absolute beasts 😂

The difference is when they started out society was far more respectful and the traffic was far far less and possibly less aggressive . The utter pondlife that use the bus these days is off the scale and as for car driving standards and cyclists 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 So I respect you for sticking with it .

I work for abellio and I us to to video and it's bc u showing to much u should not be rilly showing bus number or company I lk when I us to do it they told me to not show any uniform logo or buses logo and sometimes they don't want you to talk about what depot u from
