My ancestors used to live in streets off Brick Lane 1820- 1911. Just a heads up avoid the restaurants in Brick lane. Eat where the locals do 2-10, Umberston St, London E1 1PY the Lahore Kebab House. The best place in Brick lane is the Beigel Bake Brick Lane Bakery.
