What I understand from the song is that Lola was a very firm and strong female where he(was forced by her) fell in love with and made his first kiss. Someone like a female construction worker who also works out a lot I guess. :-)) Anyhow, she almost broke his spine but they had a lot of fun together. However, the last sentence of the song could suggest that Lola was a man. Or that she(Lola) was glad that the leadsinger was a man.

@@PlaythatGuitar Good point however today it definitely could be a ‼️surprise‼️Lou Reed talked about shaving 🪒 legs and he was a she. Maybe this trans stuff isn’t as new as I thought. A happily married Boomer and glad of it.

Lola was a man in drag. “Glad I’m a man and so is Lola”. Don’t think they had the operation to be a trans back then.

This conversation has reminded me of first guy I knew who did drag. He was very effeminate and small in height. Got picked up one night by gold ol boy and it went too far too fast. Lee/Leanna said I’m a dude the “cowboy” said I don’t care what you are I’m doing you. Lee/Leanna said “and he did”….. I had forgotten this but remembered from your comment. He was a wild one.
