#LOL

Have you ever noticed that some people use laughter as a mask to hide the pain they feel inside? This is nothing new. As a matter of fact, the Bible tells us that even in laughter, the heart may sorrow. Sometimes the visible disguise is not the invisible reality. This week, we look past the #lol (laugh out loud) and peer into the heart to discover the truth of pain and why we are so scared to be honest. From just one verse, we can make three discoveries.
This teaching is from our series Hashtag with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.

I needed to hear this one. I think Skip is one of the best teachers and bible aficionado. I observed that, not only is He is a literal walking bible; His enthusiasm and exceptional use of semantics and grammar is a literal illustrated message for me. God spoke to me and I thank God for his fireball Messengers of the Gospel!

Just ran into the series after hearing Proverb 14 on youtube. I have been born-again 38 years now, with a lot of verses from proverbs memorized and solidified into limits I have for myself. "Do not return evil for evil" has kept me drama free, out of the fray of human conflict, for large chunks of time. Evil towards me is seen as a prayer request. At present, my niece's and nephew have been pretty horrible to me, without cause, based on issues and gossip from the mother of the oldest. I manage to love them as I am ganged up on, (all four of us in a facebook thread), and the biggest grief is their risk of eternal separation from God. Proverbs brings wisdom that impacts a life deeply. I am extremely slow to anger and getting offended is very rare because decades of that verse alone makes caring for the person who gives the evil a natural priority. And Jesus is with us, we just bear the good fruit, privileged to let Him love them through us. I look forward to more videos! New subscriber. Oh, and I'm hilarious and have used proverbs as a really close doctor certification. Health to the bones, a merry heart, etc.
