Roman buried Theory by saying that "your daddy isn't here anymore", that he told Theory that he didn't know what he was doing with that briefcase, and for weeks Austin had already been losing frequently minus Shelton Benjamin OFC. It was only a matter of time before he lost his briefcase.

We the fans are fickle. We don’t want mediocrity except when we sympathize with the person behind the character, then we expect mediocrity to be celebrated and treated better. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣

What an absolute waste of the MITB briefcase. Theory is done. What the hell is Triple H thinking burying Austin Theory like this?!

I think it is what Fightful reported a while back and Luke mentioned it,feels like Triple h knew Theory was not reafy to be a main eventer or Mr MITB so he just got rid of the last remants of the Triple h era and he couldn't find anything so he just did it but Theory now needs some time off to me for him to get the bad funk out of this

Honestly, i hope this was a way to completely write off money in the bank. Once One of the most unpredictable things in wwe.. has become so stale and done to death. It peaked with seth rollins.. nothing will ever top that cash in.. Let it die, or at least retire it for awhile. It the laziest way to "build" new stars..

I think cashing in on championships other than the top 2 would be fine if they treated those championships seriously and respectfully, and there was a proper story behind them. I haven't kept up with wrestling so idk if Sheamus has won the intercontinental championship yet but he's always wanted it and he's had great matches with Walter for it. If he won the mitb and you tell the story of his desire to win that title because it's the one he's never won and he just needs one more chance and he wins. I think that could be a wonderful story. same with the tag teams. Like if the tag team championship was taken seriously and someone decided to use their chance at a world title for their partner instead of only themselves because they believe in the team. I also think that would be great. Great stories shouldn't be limited to the world titles.

Dan is such an interesting character because I disagree with so many of his basic opinions but I like him so much 😂

HHH's booking for an AEW fans when the non PPV crowds are still full of Vince McMahon crowds. All those 10 year olds and parents don't care about how the New Day was almost fired or what happened in New Japan a decade ago...

I remember back when Theory was the top of Evolve and reports were triple H really wanted him in NXT, so much so people were saying evolve was dead without him. Now he seems intent on burying the guy. The only thing I could think of is that HHH wants him back in NXT, to liven up the main event scene there, but that's it

Figured it out. On paper, it could probably a decent show. The problem with it is just the timing. For example: 6 man tag? Promo battle, brawl, Riddle comes in for the save and then the match.

I like the idea of Austin holding the case for a year and never cashing in, but I feel like that'd be difficult to do towards a satisfying conclusion. We've had previous case owners announce "I'm cashing in next weeks episode of Raw." I feel like you'd have to do a lot of juggling around for reasons he never cashed in and it was just end up being too many toppings on the MITB pizza.

I really liked that idea tbh, present him as being unwilling to try cash in out of the fear he'd fail, so he instead holds on to the briefcase for as long as possible so he gets to keep being 'Mr Money In The Bank,' and keep hold of that level of notoriety for as long as possible. Maybe have him fail his cash in because he's held it off until the last show of the calendar year, and his opponent's match on that last show gets cancelled, so he has to fight them when they are fresh, but he has no choice because there's no time left. So he's created a self fulfilling prophecy and screwed himself because of his own fear of failure... Idk, I think that had potential.

I loved it! Why would theory cash in on Roman? He always has 4 guys running around him. so Logically it does make sense.

A better idea than what they did would've been to have two Money in the Banks in play. They scrapped the Money in the Bank PPV. It's gonna be a match at Wrestlemania though. Theory's contract guarantees him a title match in a calendar year. It wouldn't expire at Wrestlemania just because they're doing a match for it.

Imagine he tries to cash in on roman and the bloodline come out and kick his ass and use a sledge to damage the case and then burn the contract while theory is laid out after a beating. At least theory doesn’t look stupid and you get the case off of him and the bloodline look badass again

Cashing in for a US Title ....and then losing ...is stupid and makes him look like a chump !!!

Theory is young, brash, cocky, impatient, all ego, inexperienced, and in NXT he was presented as the dumb character; but this is perfect to his character. He saw a downed champion and decided he was a sure thing as opposed to making the effort answering an open challenge whe Seth is 100%. Roman isn't beatable right now and they needed to raise the stock of the US title - their only men's title - somehow and this was a decent way.

Please remember, one of TRIPS goal is to make ALL TITLES important. What he wants to show is The US TITLE is also prestigious aside from the World Title. Hence is Austin Theorie's cash in

Could get a similar pop for when KO returned at Team Ciampa vs Team Cole a few years back.

Tbh I've always assumed you could cash in MITB on ANY Champion. Had a dream of someone cashing in on the NXT UK Title just to get the buggah on a PPV!

This week was definitely RAW: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly/Weird. Riddle interrupting an amazing back and forth between New Day and Usos was bad, the cash in on the US Title was interesting, but with examined context was idiotic on Theory's part, and Nikki missing throwing the 24/7 Championship away was hilarious and said everything you needed to know about how they feel about it. Only way that could have been better is if R-Truth in a janitor disguise came up and took it.

Xavier's promo tho, holy f***. Dude dropped a pipe bomb better than cm skunk did in 2012 and it wasn't cringe either. They need to let him do more unscripted promos in the future. Also lmao when Nikki pitched the 24/7 title.

I think the show was a 3.5, I was mostly kinda bored apart from a few segments. I'm not mad at Theory losing the MITB though, even under Vince, I think he needed a lot building up before putting the briefcase on him. Hopefully this acts a good reset point for the HHH era and we only go up from here.

Two things about money in the bank, would have love if theroy answered the 2nd open challenge n lost freaks out and cashes in m loses again. I also wanna see someone cash in on a double champion and win both titles.

I wish Roman had just used the Bloodline to force Theory to cash it in.

There was an open challenge but the moment Lashley attacked Seth pre match the open challenge was off for the night, Sith's character would never have had it after that. Theory saw Seth laid up and thought he had an easy win for the belt. I think Seth kicking out of 25 finishers at the end of the match hurt Theory's credibility more than anything after the the Lashley attack. I mean it made sense at that point. Theory has his victory. But Lashley interferes costing him his opportunity. Now there is this huge heat between Lashley, Rollins, Theory and Ali. Leading to a possible triple threat with interference or a fatal 4 way for the US title at the next PPV. And in the chaos of a fatal 4 way that would lead to a higher shot of Theory or Ali sneaking in a victory over the other two for the belt.

Maybe we should think of this as seth rollins n his us title run being elevated instead of just theory being buried.

For what it's worth guys I really really enjoyed the Halloween episode and feel like it was one of the best I've seen in a while so definitely Different Strokes for different folks. I was surprised how low you guys rated last week's episode. I left that episode on such a high.

Different strokes...ect I loved crown jewel, loved the giant monster mash. Drew cross awesome, cross belongs...did not need that mace or a distracted Drew by scarlett.. too lame. I love Bailey on top of a golf cart any day of the week. Bianca is an amazing big time star. The main event was awesome, the story for me was, ill prepared champ underestimates freakish althele..totally fine. More bray soon. Damage control wins, good match totally fine, not predictable. I think if Theory cashed in on Roman it would have been fairly obvious he was losing as everyone knows Roman is gonna be champ for a while longer. Plus him cashing in on the US title kinda gave the aurora that he could actually win and makes the title seem more important than previously showcased.

Theory did not care about the US Titke. At Summerslam he essentially quit quickly in his US Title so he could keep himself fresh to cash in on the Workd Title later on. Even him trying to cash in for the NXT title wound have made more sense than this.

It makes no sense in any universe that you would cash in on a Mid-Card Title instead of the World title. Using the Roman excuse only further shows how the company has booked themselves into a corner. Its just stupid booking and makes Theory look even more stupid than they've already made him look like since Vince left.

MitB, I feel, has been a victim of diminishing returns for a very, very, veeeeery, long time. They need to put it in the Disney Vault for five years or so and then only bring it out as a special occasion.

There was quite a bit of fun stuff on this show. The USO’s/New Day Promo. Asuka and Iyo’s face off. Mia Yim returning. Gargano, etc. But there were also some BIZZARE booking calls here. And that main event was a complete mess. Nothing made sense and it made Theory and Ali look terrible.

We can move on from this bad idea And WWE can start booking money in the bank better now Also Miz Vs Seth Rollins from backlash 2018 was great Luke's in denial 😂😂 it was the only good match on that show The continuation of the teases of bray playing mind games with Alexa was great with the bray logo popping up while Alexa was coming down the ramp

Surely theory has been losing a lot so his confidence has been knocked. He doesn’t want to use his briefcase and lose so he goes for a smaller title. I really dont agree with the “why not go for the top belt” statement. Its like saying why would you go for a medium meal when you can get a large. Not everyone wants a large. Not everyone wants the top belt. Dont forget who his contenders would be. Reigns, lesner, lashley, drew, etc. Does theory after basically being a chump and losing nonstop, would he really want the top belt just to lose it almost instantly? But the US title, nice medium meal that he knows he can handle…. Well… thought he could handle. Maybe he should have gone for a happy meal (24/7 belt) lol

A lot of people claiming that "TrIplE h iS buRYn THeOry" and are gonna pretend that Vince projects weren't a thing! Smh. Apart from that I thought it was an okay decision, albeit a little ridiculous. However the Bobby Lashley s*** didn't make sense! In other news, Mia Yim is back and she's not wearing a f'n mask. :) Also I agree with the Crown Jewel rating, not because it sucked but because of booking. Women's Tag title match didn't make sense even if they've forced a title change (could've just had Bayley beat Bianca, ffs 🙄) also some matches had poorly executed spots- i.e. last woman standing and steel cage. Roman vs. Logan was still great and the best match on the card. But let's be honest Crown Jewel is cursed as f. I really wish they would just end the damn deal already. 😅

The reviews were better with Ollie and Luke

I think this was a major course correct...this was Trips "ripping off the band-aid". The 24/7 title is garbage, and Austin Theory is a turtle stuck on top of a post with a briefcase. He's there, we know who put him there, but he really has no business in that position. There's other ways that it could be done, but I think it gets the briefcase out of therem...then they can refresh and rebuild it when they bring it back around.

I think triple h did what he did to Austin theory because he wanted to reset his character since he was controlled under Vince McMahon but it was hilarious to how he made him did the dumbest idiotic cash in’s in wwe history especially since Seth Rollins did say it was Open Challenge 😂😂

It’s unfortunate because Austin Theory is great at what he does but the dumb gimmick he was given with the phone and being shoved down everyone’s throat gave him go away heat, he needs to just go ghost after this loss, and coke back with a new gimmick, perhaps like his NXT gimmick but much much better and thought through because Theory is the future, he’s got it all, just needs this all fixed

Ok i agree that if you have the briefcase you go for world title. Usually. But eveyone is saying this was a dumb case in. I dont think it was completely. Heres what i mean. Hes struggling to stay relevant, and he could have won last week. But his cockiness got the better of him. He may know that the world title isnt going to happen but maybe a Mid card title could be. And Seth was attacked pretty bad. What better way to show hes the next John Cena, than by winning the title again, and from the man who embrassed him before. And if you say that was a stupid thing to do, sure it was. But hes not thinking clearly because he is still green. Maybe this is the rock bottom moment he needed to leave for abit and come back fresh. With a different gimmick and attitude. I could easily see him with Baron Corbin and JBL. And lastly the other thing that comes to mind with this cash in. It might just be that with Vince gone and them wanting to start fresh they needed to take the briefcase out of the picture until Wrestlemania. There really wasnt a great way to do that, so they just pulled the bandage off. Now we can heal.

This was a 4/5 show, up until the main event which was one of the all time worst segments I have ever seen, entirely killed the concept of MitB let alone the fact it made zero sense for anyone's character.

Luke you are trippin smh even if you want to assume Seth’s cash in was the greatest cash in ever I won’t argue it but to call Big Es just good is ridiculous.. They built a whole show off of Big E cashing in, they spoke on it during the whole show,Big E himself throughout the show said he was doing it so by the time he did it and won the pop was just as loud or louder than any other cash in … I had friends in the building that night n they told me how loud and crazy it truly was! So The Big E cash is more than good it was great! I would say it’s at least #2 greatest cash in ever

This show has the worst opinions. They're so bad and constantly contradict themselves. I'm telling you. It's largely due to their excessive estrogen intake, poor diet, lack of exercise, and excess microplastic/PFOAs exposure. Makes for observable bain dysfunction, including emotional based "logic".

Triple H sucks, I hate most of the talent he is trying to push during his area. Theory is the best young talent in the WWE and he is trying to devalue him.

They aren't related to The Rock. Stop it. Peter Mavia or his Wife share no blood with Roman, Solo, or The Usos. Only ppl in wrestling that are related to Swayne is his daughter in NXT & Nia Jax. Of course the Usos had a way more easier road because of being Rikishi's because those generational wrestlers in WWE get chance after chance no matter how much they fail... just look at YOUR Tribal Chief. While others work on a shorter leash. Solo was rushed to Raw because of his age (29)and his father. This dude did just two yrs of wrestling before signing with WWE and those two yrs was ALL in his father's promotion, no one outside of Rikishi ever booked him. The stuff that New Day were saying all meant sense, but WWE lost (a huge portion) that part of the audience to AEW. Now if they still had that 2015-2019 crowd, the would've gave a better response. The crowds for the most part have been really quiet. Go back and watch. Vince's brainwashing has won out. Trips has his work cut out for him.

The relationship started in the 70's when Rikishi's father (One half of the Wild Samoans) when they'd work Rocky Mavia (The Rocks & Nia's Grandfather, NOT ROAMN & Co) Northern California wrestling T territory. Being close family friends doesn't translate to being related. An easy Google search and you can find the family tree and no blood was swapped from the top rope 2 families. Even on Peter Mavia's wiki it says 'blood brothers' with Afa & Sika. Quotations means something

There's definitely a motive behind this, perhaps HHH thinks Theory can't be built as a top star as just another cocky coward heel, and rather as a babyface trying to build himself up by picking up wins and taking himself serious, Theory definitely won't be taking selfies next week, because what has he to celebrate anymore, it's too early to throw in the word "buried". He also might be heading somewhere with Shelton.

If you think about it, Vince handed the briefcase to Theory so Triple H was stuck with this dead end booking going nowhere. This was a way for them to get the case off Theory so that there's no more MITB nonsense to worry about going forward and cashing in on Seth and losing looks better for him than getting destroyed by Roman
