I'm glad you came back to this. Would have been a shame to leave your recaps/reviews for Loki incomplete. Lots of insightful comments and interesting points of view. I'm glad that overall you liked the series. I think with the exposition that this is going to be the issue where you leave the big reveal until the final episode. There is simply too much to fill in since you have to establish who the big bad is, why you should care and what they are up to. I do think the performances and the holograms at least made it visually interesting. I like your idea of a puzzle house and maybe they should have given it an extra episode to fit that in, with Loki and Sylvie finding some of the plot points about He Who Remains backstory as they went along (his lab, relics from the multiverse war, etc). The Comic 'Avengers Forever' was 12 issue run which had Avengers from different points of time exploring the citadel and learning a lot of similar info among fights with threats from history, which might have worked here in a scaled down version. I found your point about mixing real world quotes with the fantasy of the MCU interesting. Marvel has always tried to ground itself in reality, just to be relatable, but I can understand your point. Speaking of Dr Who comparisons this was quite similar to the opening to 'Remembrance of the Daleks'. Sorry you didn't get the Loki/Mobius relationship that you were hoping for. I did like the resolution with Sylvie. I saw the kiss as Loki opening himself up to loving aspects of himself but that Sylvie was still unable to entirely trust, using the kiss as another means of manipulation (although it wasn't just to get her way but to get Loki to safety). Hope we see more of her. The jet ski payoff was frustration but looking at interviews with the show runners they seemed to have been surprised by how much it resonated with viewers. I'm sure we'll get a pay off in the future. The biggest thing for Loki was how it drastically changes the future of the films and tv shows, which I found very exciting. I'm sure that we'll be looking at the final episode with different eyes once we've seen the full consequences play out. Thanks for keeping going with the reviews. Always interesting to see your thoughts (and I enjoyed your early thoughts on who should be in Dr Who). Hope we see more Marvel coverage with Marvel What If on the horizon.

@@CuriosityRocks you are very welcome. With 82 years of comics there is a lot of trivia out there. I’m sure the What If series will give you a lot of creative options to let your imagination go wild.
