In this video I am going to show you how to create a Logo and text reveal effect using Adobe After Effects.
We can achieve this effect by using layer masks and text mask and I'll show you how to do both in the latest version of Adobe After Effects.

Damn, this doesn't work for me in AE 2024 :( For some reason it works the exact opposite for me. When I drag the track/matte to the shape layer the text dissapears but I can see the mask
Do you know how to use lossless codecs in Adobe PP & AE? The music files & anime I download are FLAC and MKV. Right now I've been learning about Lagarith, FFV1, and MagicYUV, so I can import/export lossless uncompressed video & audio through Premiere Pro v13. And After Effects v17. I've been awake all night trying to figure this out. I just don't want the videos double compressed because of KZread. There are several more options for uncompressed/lossless video, but Adobe was behind on adopting them. So I need to use programs to convert the files to an Adobe supported lossless video "container". However it hasn't been easy learning what uncompressed video is actually supported.

I understand the frustration there. When it comes to lossless video if you are on a mac the Pro Res format is ideal. For audio I tend to convert my lossless audio files in to uncompressed formats either AIFF or WAV. I don't think anyone will be able to tell the difference especially if you use a high enough sample rate when exporting out. 48kz or 96 khz.

@@emberripples I am not all the familiar with the best formats to use on the PC. However I have heard that FFmpeg, which is both free and Open Source is pretty close to lossless. And there is also Apple ProRes RAW available for download on Windows. Not sure if these work in After Effects but I think they should.
