I have a Sony HT IV 300, it supports practically all popular video formats such as MKV, MP4, AVCHD and many more. 4k formats aren't supported, but it will upscale full HD content to 4K resolutions if you connect it to a 4K TV. The most common audio standards available are Dolby Digital Pro Logic II and DTS Neo 6 for Cinema and Music. The overpower bass can be reduced by lowering the dB output of the sub in speaker setup settings. The mid range and chanel Seperation gets enhanced through Sony Proprietary Clear Audio+ mode. So far i am loving it.... The only thing it lacks is an equalizer. But still i am happy with just the sound modes.

I bought the iv300. The shop had one piece only because nowadays soundbars only. Compared it with s40r & this had better sound. Also sound are crystal clear. Use the digital format. Great experience in movies & music. This guy just saying online without comparing real life

After waiting for Yamaha 1840 home theatre, I went with Sony IV300. It is loud system. Bass is way high with maximum volume of 33. Overall fine system. If now I had a chance to replace then I would have gone with the Z906. It is all in one old school rock solid system. Sony isn't bad but for overall comparison logitech Z906 seems a better option..

@@spartaan2232 there's a mode called sound field under audio setting. Also you can increase individual speaker's volume. That will help a bit in clarity.

I am using Yamaha HTR 5730 Since 1995. No need for upgrading. Have added Bluetooth . Till now no repairs. Cleaning done every year with PCB cleaner. Have added Two Yamaha Floor Standing Towers. My neighbour next door and opposite my house have appreciated the sound quality many times. We five friends purchased on same day in 1995 in Dubai. They purchased Bose, Marantz, Denon, JBL. Only my Yamaha is working till now.👍

For better results in sound output we should use High res audio FLAC files and input device also which supports hogi audio

I love the sound the BASS awesome its ground shaking, room shaking whatever I just love to watch the movies and play games. Kindly don't watch movies from youtube to judge the sound system as youtube movies are stereo. Use Netflix then you will see the difference clearly the pure 5.1 channel Dolby Digital DTS. Use optical cable for THE BEST sound effects.

Sir why in some videos mrp of iv300 is 22,990 last price 19990 but where I purchased offline mrp they said 28900 last price 22,300 what is exact price sir and why cost difference. Is iv300 upgraded now Bec of that are they charging more money.

@@ratnaafroze3791 if you don't have any budget issue then i will suggest to go with JBL but it will cost you around 1 lakh.. And if your budget is of 50000 Then you should go with this home theater only it will cost you around 22000 and sounds amazing like any other 50000 home theater

Nice review Vineet ...one point u missed is on the life of these ..yamaha outshines all on that second with yamaha one can easily change any speaker if that goes bad or one wants to enhance the experience. Like adding a floor standing full range speaker will enhance the music output a lot

Dear Vineet, I'm already using Z906 for last more than 10 years and having no regrets as far as the sound is concern. I also believe in Yamaha but the comparable sound quality is costlier in terms of money. Still what do you suggest to buy a New Yamaha under 50K. Vineet you should also mention whether the speakers are active or passive in your show please. Thanks n Good Wishes!

If you want to attach it with your PC then buy Logitech, and if with TV then Sony. Bass is almost same in both, but Sony has an upper hand here. You can even control the Bass in its settings 😊

I own the Sony HT IV300 for more than 2 years now...Superb bass, but yes mids and highs are not up to the mark, so I connected the system with my LG 4k tv which has Harman Kardon tuned speakers, and belive me, it's 10 times better now. Haven't heard Logitech model sound but heard Yamaha..Yes it lacks that punchy bass and sound is also low compared to Sony. Btw...Very nicely explained. 😊

I have both Logitech z906 and Sony HtiV 300... A week before I purchase 2nd z906 from Amazon in a deal price of 10995 only, unbelievable. Conclusion: Logitech z906: If you have PC, good sound card /mobo and using it for movie watching Sony Htiv 300: A smart TV with good connection or a music lover.

I have an old pc which have only 3 3.5mm jacks in the mother board.... no hdmi, no optical port.... how can i connect my Sony ht iv300 to my pc at the most affordable cost to get true dolby 5.1 audio... i have tried to connect my pc via rca to 3.5mm wire, but the output is pathetic...

I have lg 49 uk 6360 pte 4k uhd tv. I want to purchase sony ht iv 300 . My tv has hdmi in arc port. now hdmi out arc port of sony iv 300 and hdmi arc in of my tv should be connected through hdmi cable. My question is: 1) Hdmi cable provided with sony iv300 will do the work? 2) if I insert pendrive in my tv and play movie from that then will i get sound output from sony iv 300? Or i have to insert pendrive in iv 300's usb port? Please clarify.

In this video I do not agree with you. If you connect z906 with toslink it delives best with floor shaking bass. Thats to my experience. Yamaha is not even close.
