@Calistru George rms peak 500W, still more than enough to power one room. If you are looking forward to power a whole home cinema, look somewhere else such as, Klipsch, Denon etc.

Z906 is monster I like it I have z623 is so good but z906 is amazing 5.1 system

Still in 2020 its A good sound system worth buying. But as observed there is no logitech icon on the subwofer and on the consul. In some we are getting log whats the difference ?

I was wondering if you could tell me does the back of your sub box get warm or a little bit hot after extended use? I know that is the location where the amp is. So I'm wondering if it's normal. I've had no trouble, it continues to play just fine. Overall I'm happy with this 5.1 system

6 years in posetion. Yes the back gets warm and it's normal. I used to abuse them the first months I got them. You can even make them smell a bit if you want to destroy your ears which I did😂. But yeah the heat on the back is normal even if you don't abuse them.

Just got mine today and they sound pretty badass... Only thing I found weird was the 4.1 option sounds better then the 5.1 surround sound option.

I own them for 6 years now. Yeah the 4.1 is a different setting. The 5.1 setting makes the 2 rear speakers play some little frequencies to create the surround sound and 3D feeling and that makes the 2 rear speakers not playing full and warm sound. 5.1 is for movies etc. 4.1 all speakers play the same strong sound and the woofer bass gets stronger. Even stronger than 2.1 mode.

The speakers are all the same it depends where you plug the cable in on the receiver so it will still be left right and front and rear.. but doesnt matter which speak is where if it makes sense :)

z906 daha yeni sürüm 8" z5500 10",evet z5500 bass konusunda daha kuvvetli.

A lot of reviews i have read says this system breaks too easily like its prone to fail no matter what i had mine since December 26 2018 and i have had no problems thus far.

@@K3BABB i just dont understand why people talk so negative and bias about this system its amazing its the best pc system i have ever owned in my life i did a unboxing of them on my channel feel free to check it out a lot of reviews i have read on amazon say the system is faulty and it will break on you no matter what it will died i always just found that hard to believe i never heard that about the mini remote though.

Mine just exploded 2 days ago and emits chemically stink odor. But I've had it since late 2013 so I think it's quite durable (?), also the sound is great.

the back speaker cables are a lot longer than the front.. I dont know the exact measurement but they are deffinetly long enough for a room

2 fronts and center have the 4.x meter / 2 rears have the 7.x meter.

Are the rear speakers connected wirelessly to the amplifier? If not how do you set up the rear speakers in a large room?

No they are not wireless. I’m not sure how big your room is but the cable should be enough.

Just brought a set of these because my old Logitech Z-5500 died would have prefered to get them fixed because they are a better system than the Z-906 but here in Aus nobody seems the fix stereo equipment these days, Well the z906 arrived today and after setting them up they fall way short of my old Z5500 can hardly hear the bass and they wouldn't connect to my optical input

Try to refund the unit, might be a defect. For the bass thing, try to select the sub only and turn it up.

Sadly, No. The subwoofer has a built in amplifier so you must go through all the hassle to make a new amp/find one that is compatible with all the cables and is enough to power the RMS peak of 500W

Hey I have a silly question. I have 2 sony bookshelf speakers 6omhs but I am afraid of connecting them to the z906 sub cuz I am not sure how will amp react....so Got an idea that I will be using just sub without satellites...I'll connect z906 to the wall and use it for low freqs and bookshelf speakers are comnected to the small amp and aux cable to pc. So I will connect z906 just sub with aux and bookshelf speakers with aux using audio splitter to connect to pc. Is that ok? Can something happen to sub due to absence of satelites 7???? It will be 2.1 system...

I have this system and I love it. Some weeks ago, the control unit with the LEDs began forgetting the stored settings. Before I dissassemble it, does anybody know, if this unit has a battery in it?

Hello there, May i ask you something about this system ? On logitech z5500 you maximum bass with main volume, With z906, you either max the bass or the volume, does this mean you cannot use the full power of z906. I had this system 6 months ago, i liked i love it, but man compared to z5500 (which i have never tried) you cannot higher the volume(volume only without bass) to the max, neither the bass to 100%. Please correct me if i am wrong. I love this z906, but i find it weaker than z5500, altough it way older. Once i tried to go higher than half power on this system(Windows volume at 80% + Logitech total volume on 75-80% + bass : 70%)for less than half an hour and i started smelling something like burn , i touched the back of the subwoofer , it was pretty hot (not it was like going to burn the skin) but it was very hot. NOTE : i do not listen to bass boosted songs , there was no Distortion(i did not hear it at least). But i am too afraid to go full power on this system. Thank you anyway.

You can. By clicking the button from the right. You changing the ratio of speakers to subwoofer. Z906 dont have a radiator but have a full metal back. So full back is hot. Z906 they don't break down. z5500 is very often broken. z5500 is a nicer and has a feet columns but have 1 optical input. For z906 you immediately have to buy the handles.

@@marcin751 What i meant is, if you force the system to the max , you may damage it. Unlike the z5500 all poeple who test it on youtube , they use the full power on the z5500. on the other hand on the z906 they use 50% volume and 100% bass( Not both on 100%). But your answer gave me more trust. Thank you for the reply.

On the remote press 'Levels' and when the square light lights up on it own then you turn it up or down like you would with the volume.. Hope this helps

Either your motherboard will have the connection for a 5.1 (Aux, Yellow and black cables), if not then your sound card should have it if you have one.

Best way is connecting via optical cable..If your integrated music card doesn't have this input, buy internal music card for example Soundblaster X-fi with servicing DTS or Dolby Digital to play all 5 speakers + subwoofer

Surround sound is bs. It doesn’t work and a sound behind you would just distract. What you are paying for is atmosphere and good stereo will give a room full of it.

Mine work perfectly.. please not that google chrome wont support 5.1 on youtube etc.. and I mainly use it for gaming and the surround sounds 110% works fine :)

It says 1000 watts on the box.. but I believe its 500 watts really but apparently 'it can be amplified to 1000watts' probably a marketing thing. But to be fair I wouldn't want anything louder as I've still not tried full volume as my walls would crumble

@@K3BABB than your walls are very small. Watts are just a number, there can be 50 watt system or 10000watts. Sometimes the 50watt is better, sometimes there are the same or the 10000watt are louder.

They are 500w RMS. Back when they first came out I think they didn't say 1000w on the box. It's marketing tricks. They are 1000w Peak and 500rms and on full volume yes your walls and your neughbors walls shake like hell

You can find them on sale from time to time. In my country I bought them 6 years ago for 250 instead of 400.
