@@nowhereman5956 Actually a lot of advantages 360° protection for your ipad, unlimited positions view, larger trackpad, and connected by smart connectors, and for the weight and thickness is very similar. Actually I don't know what to pick, I Love the features in logitech combo touch, but I don't know is the typing experience is great or not?

Thanks for the review, I have the logitech for the 20219 ipad pro, really good, but OMG so thick. I really love this new version, it look sleek. I can see myself rocking this baby with an Ipad pro 21.9 - 2021 version.

Great device! You didn’t mention that instead of folding the keyboard back, the keyboard section can be attached magneticly in reverse allowing you to keep the keyboard with you in-hand. This allows you to use the iPad as a touch tablet and not have the keyboard keys facing out. It really is an ingenious way of handling it. Give it a try.

Nice review and a ice option for sure. Little surprised they didn’t include a strap over the pen, they do on one of their covers for the last year’s pad. Wonder if they have one for the 11” too. One possible issue with a touchpad that you can touch anywhere is do you have issues hitting it while you type.

Hey man they also have a option to connect the keyboard backwards and fold the keys into the back of the ipad to protect the keys and touch pad while still having the case completely assembled. That way you can use it "disconnected" like you were showing, but it still being in a spot that can be safe and protected.

I agree no sleeve or flap for the pencil… major flaw. I've had my pencil hit the ground numerous times falling off similar cases (even magic keyboard). I now pack a box of pencil tips, keep some in my cars. If you’ve damaged the tip or had a knock off and lost your pencil, you’re DOA when getting in front of a client signing contracts etc. I've stuck with the Logitech Slim Combo. It has the pencil flap plus sleeve and it’s own keyboard battery. I also prefer the Bluetooth connection to the keyboard over smart connectors which drain iPad batteries. No trackpad on slim combo? I say Trackpad-Smackpad!!! Who needs it with multi touch, why push your cursor around with a finger?!

Great video! But I do experience issue with its Secondary Click - my touchpad becomes unresponsive to any two fingers gestures (eg scrolling in all directions) after attempting one Secondary Click !!!

I'm still on the fence buying it for my 2018 iPad Pro. Saw you confidently putting it in the combo touch was reassuring. thanks for showing that. Just one more question, since there's a difference in thickness between 2018/2020 and 2021 ipad pro, isn't there an extra space over the surface of the ipad? I think I can live with that, as long as the usb-c charger can fit properly in the socket and the sound from the speakers aren't hindered by their lower position in the older model against the opening on the sides of the case. would you mind confirming that? i didn't see you address the sides in relation to the difference in thickness. I was discussing it with the online shop and they said there were some software problems that were fixed but returned eventually. Do you know anything about this? Would appreciate your input. Thanks

Anyone want this just for the case like me? With keyboard detached, it's a perfect portable iPad stand for its adjustable angles. The old combo touch case for 10.5 inch iPad gave me a fun time.

I returned the magic keyboard for this. I really wanted to like the magic keyboard but the hardware frayed within a week. Even when price is not an object, the Logitech exceeds the magic keyboard due to durability and versatility.

M1XDR iPad, Blooming effects especially noticeable at night might just be the mini led, vibrant moving grains when using the center stage front-facing camera, XDR screen but no HDR content or at least supported yet for the new iPad screen ( is all this normal?). Also, any free Adblock that actually works on iPadOS safari?

There are always pros and cons. For me, the significant con to this device is its footprint when using it with the keyboard and stand. It takes a lot more room on your desk and likely won’t fit on a seatback tray table on an airplane. The footprint issue is one people should strongly consider. The way I use my Pro the most would conflict with this device. It still has a lot of nice pros though.

Will the Baseus 6 in 1 hub fit this Logitech combo touch for iPad?

You can flip the keyboard upside down and folding to the back so if you want to do it ipad mode and keep the keyboard with you as it magnets to the back. It is a bit heavy but if you don’t want to leave you keyboard around. I’m surprised no one who reviews this keyboard shows that mode.

The Apple Store model is 920-010096 and the box is like a slip case, unlike yours in the video. They list it as a 5th generation combo touch, but this is not noted anywhere on the box. Was I sold a 4th generation version instead? Also, the box was not shrink wrapped in plastic, which makes me suspicious it was opened and/or the “old” model. Was I duped? At that price, I want the latest and new, sealed in the box. Thoughts?

No one I’ve seen does a decent amount of scrolling or mouse navigating to prove the terrible third party mouse functions are fixed! I’d like to see it used editing a timeline for its precision

Logitech is the only third party keyboard with trackpad that Apple provided it's development kit for. The trackpad works the same as on an Apple device. I have the keyboard Case that does not detach. It's awesome.

I have the iPad Pro 11" from 2018. I use the Combo Touch case. The trackpad is really quite fantastic. It works much the same as my Surface Pro 6. The only thing I haven't liked is that the keyboard isn't detachable like the Surface. Now that the keyboard is detachable, I'll have to think about upgrading. LOL

Curious if the 4th gen would work, I asked Logitech, but they gave up because they said no support. But I know what's happening with your review Thank you.

I bought this keyboard yesterday because I hated the lack of protection with the magic keyboard. I can't speak for you all, but i'm clumsy! The logitech feels and works great. 2021 ipad 12.9... I retured the magic keyboard ...

You forgot one of the most unique features. You can flip the keyboard and but it with the keys facing the back of the Ipad. So if you don't need the keyboard you can flip it around and it is stored away

While the 2020 model is usable with this case, will the misalignment of the speakers pose any problem in the long run? I am quite worried that the blocked speakers might be faulty over time as the sounds coming from the blocked speaker blocked cannot escape the speaker cut out.

Nope. It would be disconnected from its power source, which is the iPad.

Even though the camera isn’t square, wouldn’t the 3rd Gen 12.9 still sit in the cover because it’s otherwise the same size and shape as the 2020 model?

2020 model fits well but you'll have a problem on the speakers because its diff from 2021.

Much better than the magic keyboard tbh: - Function Keys - More durable material - Slightly bigger trackpad - More versatile with the kickstand and detachable while still having the kickstand I'd probably buy it even if it was the same price or more expensive than the magic keyboard

Very happy to hear this works for the 12.9inch 4th ipad pro. Even better is the fact that you can detach the keyboard, and still keep the protection from the case. The versatility is a HUGE deal for me Was super sad that the other logitech combos didn't support the 12.9 inch back in the day.

I think this would be better than the apple keyboards if it was lighter. That's the only thing that prompted me to return it. Otherwise excellent design and functionality
