Fascinating. I was just thinking about how the logistics of Vietnam was handled with half a million troops in country and all these questions came into my head this is just what I was looking for.

impressive , but not as amazing as the VC who moved millions of troops with all the supply necessary over 4-5,000km of dense , treacherous jungle by shear man power and will alone. All while under heavy B52 bombing raids .
Love this type of docu, so upbeat
Interesting video. What isn't mentioned is the diversion of huge amounts of fuel, medicine and other supplies sold off on the black market (with significant quantities ending up in enemy hands). Toxic chemical defoliants (i.e. Agent Orange) shown as harmless as watering the lawn @ 21:42. The Pipeline to Victory!
Excellent video!
Wonderfully made
Wow thought I was watching The Venture Brothers at the very start!
This was beautiful
Nice Video.
thanks
hay quá!
The last part about ops not being cancelled is not true They went out and did it without resupply many times No water, having to drink piss dirty water and eat birds and not allowed to return even though they had nothing Many memoirs say this

Boy, it sure is good that we have those great advanced IBM computers. Obviously, that's what helped us so decisively win this awful war. The computers were yet another element of the Americans Thinking "my God, these guys have no chance against us." The joke was on us. They beat us.
3:12 Japan should have paid attention...
QuarterMaster nightmare. Especially if have malingerers

So much money, personnel and infrastructure 10.000 miles away just to keep the S. Vietnam independent... damn! What a waste if we consider the results 😖

it worked in Korea . Different country though

@@harrybriscoe7948 Yeah it worked but it was a different situation. N.Korea didn't have Laos, Cambodia around them and the complex underground tunnels. Also, the will and fighting passion is unmatched vs the NVA . Also the Vietcong rebels.. there weren't present in Korea. And last, most of South Vietnam was corrupt , were communism sympathisers and didn't care much about a free Vietnam were the South Koreans did care!
28:02 Wouldn't they (the combat troops) just go anyway, even though under-equipped?

Pardon me while I vomit. This was for domestic consumption. The US government sanitized and over dramaticized to the point of ridicule, but it the 60s, they lapped it up. Reds under the bed, hordes from the north, they really thought they were saving Vietnam from destruction. Pity about the ignominious retreat and humiliation of another loss after Korea.
but still cant win a war
