It's rather easier to explain algorithm than explaining someone how to do a cube. Once you're familiar with algorithm, only then you can master Rubik's cube for once and for all

Some people are writing how easy it is, and the fact of the matter is that even though it's easy for us now - it wasn't always easy. My first solve on it with instructions in hand took 2 hours. It took me another week of daily practice until I was able to solve it without instructions, and another week or so until I was able to comfortably and consistently solve it in under 3 minutes. I'd say the biggest challenge when first learning to solve it is not losing your perspective. Eventually, with consistent practice the mind gets used to it. In my case, instead of moving on to speed cubing I moved on to solving more challenging non-WCA puzzles, which is what I enjoy most.

Sick MOVES It may be easy, but not everyone goes out of their way to learn how to solve it. Since the majority of people don’t know how to solve it, there’s still a lot of interest in people who can. Can’t really blame them, the only thing the news shows about cubing is there’s a lot of algorithms and some people are fast.

“You just do this and then this and then this and boom solved” wow great video. You can just unscramble it and still say you used “logic”. If you want to explain or show how you solve it you need to take it slow, if you want to brag on knowing how to solve it but are exceptionally slow do what this guy did.
