I love how Mr.Woo doesn't focus on easy problems when teaching any topic to the class he goes for harder problems which forces you to think critically at a basic level about what you are learning. I wish all teachers focused more on not necessarily harder problems but presenting it in a manner that a student wouldn't expect yet still focus on critical thinking about the basic applications. Easy problem examples a student can always find in a textbook when they are at home and the teacher is not present, therefor why not just focus on problems that are daunting to look at first for the students. A great teacher.

This is a very good observation and something I recently experienced with an advanced class on Javascript programming. The teacher had the same philosophy as Mr. Woo and it really did force my brain to engage on the basic elements of the complex problems. It isn't intuitive that this method would work, but it really does.

@@mcgamescompany I'm sorry if I come off as stupid(I'm actually is). But I actually meant it's not hard. I know I first learnt about logarithms when I'm Grade 5. When I knew exponents I already know there's a reverse process just like the roots. Just like subtractions and additions. Even when I never heard of Logarithms. That's why I understand it when I first heard it. As well as the different patterns that could be derived.. It's elementary yes and fundamentally simple. I'm not even that interested in math when I was a kid..

I am not the type of person to comment on videos… BUT WOAhhhhh like honestly,last year I was searching and searching from multiple books to resources to KZread and all ,to understand logarithm…basically my teacher didn’t know how to teach and just told us to memorise… but I still tried to understand logarithm,now another year after that grade.. and really, like he explained everything in chronological order yet all easy to understand and grasp… like how he derived the equations and how it all sets into place as to why exponential function is like the inverse or opposite of logarithm or Lnx and , how what you know can just be used in opposite form to solve..Thanks a lot sir

logarithms seemed such a far to reach concept b4 this simplistic series.. turns out i had already intuitively found many laws in form of simple powers. logs r basically, a^x = b where a and b r known constants and x is the power we need to find.

Add log to them log x n = log x (x^n) Move the N to the front log x n = n log x ^ x Log x X = 1 ,hence log x n = n (1) Finally log x n = n I am not sure if this is correct, just my answer tho
