I have just returned from a trip to the Isle of Man, but flew in one of these from London City Airport. Unlike the usual Boeing 737 that I have previously been used to, I hadn't flown with Loganair in one of the ATR 72-600s. But it gets the job done in just over an hour from London. I love the Isle of Man and will definitely return in the near future.

A friend of mine is an air traffic controller. He says the ATR is a good and reliable aircraft. So nice to hear that. Glad you enjoyed your trip and thanks for your feedback

I took the ferry liverpool to Isle of Man, flew back by private jet (mainly as i had a major heart attack and they had to fly me by air ambulance back to liverpool). Give that journey a miss!

Last month, I had a bad experience with Logan. Cancelled my flight on Orkney and big delay in Manchester. The flight and staff were great, but couldn't keep to a flight schedule.

Personally I'd rather arrive early and sit in the airport than stress in traffic or trying to park. At the risk of giving wrong information, I'd say double check with the airline.

There are pictures of all the Beatles in the airport. I think there is a yellow submarine in the Albert Docks in Liverpool
