    Matt completely forgot he had a Mana Drain trigger from countering the Seedborn Muse, he could have used it to pay the X cost on Gadwick to draw seven. I'd also like to point out Mike clearly has tunnel vision because he used most of his removal on the Kruphix deck instead of Azami which had all of its combo pieces for three full turns assembled.

    @@CaptTelnet yes my point is the bad threat assessment. You know having a bunch of mana doesn’t win you the game outright, but leaving azami unchecked for a few turns does win the game outright.

  • @CaptTelnet

    @CaptTelnet

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@dugie9 You’re right in saving leaving Azami unchecked is a bad idea. I have an Azami deck and could tell the end was nigh when spellseeker found pact. I’m saying one of the things most important to Azami is *pretending* you aren’t a big threat. And it’s easy to play pretend when your opponent is banking 15ish mana per player per turn in an eldrazi deck. Both players had threats, but all of Kruphix’s threats were in play and scary. So he drew the removal.
