    Good luck out there Roger! Don’t spend too much time at any one spot. If the crappies aren’t there they will bite pretty quickly.

    I use a similar tactic but I have good luck with a 10 foot rod helps to control your bobber around the snags

    What are the regs regarding trebles on the river? I know for ice fishing you cant have a tip up with just a treble and weight. Have to have a blade of some sort to make it a lure. Not sure on wisconsin/border water regs but would rather ask and find out or make you aware so ya dont get tagged over something as minuscule as that. Tight lines and loving the vids

    That rule regarding treble hooks no longer exists in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I’m not sure what state you are referring to but the Mississippi River boundary waters for WI/MN a plain treble is legal, I believe this is statewide unless there are special regs for certain lakes.

    @@AnglerX was doing some looking before I made my comment and never saw anything saying it was changed? To be fair everything I saw was from 2012-2015 but couldnt find anything that said otherwise. Awesome if so. More so just commenting because I have seen on other channels some stuff that definitely isnt legal and would hate to see anyone get tagged for something because they didnt know

    How do you hook a shiner on a treble hook? And why do you use such a small hook?

  • @AnglerX

    @AnglerX

    Жыл бұрын

    I’ll usually hook the minnow just behind the dorsal or through the tail with just one of the hooks. The smaller hook allows the minnow to move more naturally and free without the added weight of the hook.
