3:02 - "Malay people are friendly people" - That's exactly my experience. I had some Malays in my school growing up.. amongst dozens of other nationalities... and WITHOUT fail, the Malays were the politest, most well-mannered kids I had ever come across. Several trips to Malaysia later, I still very much hold that opinion.

I'm malay, but I sorta get mistaken as a filipino when I go overseas. And I must say, filipinos are also very friendly. I got lost a lot in my travels when I was in italy, and each time I got lost, there would be a Filipino around who have helped me find my way. I think I should learn some tagalog already.

I must say that the second one was the bad one. I prefer the first. U should taking uber or grabcar. We using apps now in Malaysia.

Yeah that's how I know of this channel. Love Mark Weins and Food Ranger but Sonny's upping the game. He'll get there eventually... what I enjoy is that these videos are actually telling a story and have a take on things - those other two are basically just eating and going "mmmm!". That's cool but this channel's closer to like Bourdain or Zimmerman in approach. Mark Weins' got some solid knowledge about SE Asian food and Food Ranger does some absolutely excellent research in finding spots... but throw a dart on a map and ask yourself which of the three would do the best video of, say, food in Cameroon... it'd be Sonny no contest, I think.

This is a smart way to explore Malaysia and the food. Get a local guide to show you the best place for local food. I saw some other travel videos which the traveller explores the city by themselves. Then they became puzzled and thus, they didn't enjoy it the way it was supposed to do. Don't be afraid to ask the locals any questions as Malaysians are friendly and helpful.
