When referring to needles that DO NOT break easily, do you mean larger gauge or larger diameter? Both were said. Thank you in advance.
@brookejacobsen3875
Жыл бұрын
Larger number of gauge can break easier. So 30 is more likely to break than a 27. The bigger the diameter the less likely it will break.
Thank you for the video dr Rayan. I have a question if you could please answer. In case where molar needs to be extracted after IAN block the lower lip is still not numb what is the next step? Add more on IAN or add on long buccal nerve ? Since you said buccal nerve block numbs only buccal mucosa of molar region. What would be the right thing to do ?
100k Almost finished❤
Perfect
The long 30 gauge (blue needle) is misprinted as 25mm instead of 32mm
Hi, big fan of your amazing videos. Small correction to something you said in this video - Tongue numbness is not a good sign of IANB working as the lingual nerve inadvertently gets numbed even when you miss the entry of the IAN. Lip numbness indicates the teeth will most likely be anesthetized.
You just made things too easy and understandable
What happen when we aspirate after injected into nerve?
@mentaldental if i asked for numbing shots before a routine cleaning (I actually think it's worth trying next time), which blocks/infiltrations will they likely do?
Thanks, from Iraq
Which injection type provides the most the hemostasis? Is it the local infiltration?
Ryan. As an RDH. I used septi as an infiltration on mandibular posterior teeth to avoid block anesthesia. Being both an snide and ester. Thinking. Cockiness the best local anesthetic and an ester. Is there a coronation why it can be used as an infiltration with thick mandabilar bone??
when we want to extract tooth ,can we just ,only apply local infilt technique in some cases? or it is just supplement technique
hello dr rayan...ur videos are quite helpfull..i want to ask that MALAMED said that only 28% people have MSA nerve while 72% people has only ASA for anterior +premolar supply ...but u mentioned in the video that 75% people has MSA...can u clear this doubt plzzz
Your videos are amazing! Just curious, do you also provide these info via PDF? If yes, that would be so awesome! :)

@@mentaldental what plan provides the PDF slides?
Hello, I am finding this topic very interesting but challenging will press on with it and possibly may I ask what books would you advise for this topic?
@mentaldental

Malamed has a textbook that is excellent for information about Local Anesthetics: amzn.to/2UmrUwy
Which injection is used.....?
I am freaking tf out right now... I'm terrified of needles, and I have a root canal tomorrow 😢
ماشاء الله
Is it larger gauge or larger diameter that is preferable, because you say both. Btw these videos are amazing!!
@mentaldental
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question! Larger diameter (smaller gauge) has the benefits of less deflection, less breakage, and better aspiration.
💗
All the pictures with fingers right next to the injection site makes me nervous haha
Are pharmacology videos adjusted for INBDE exam?
@mentaldental

Yes, they are absolutely relevant for the INBDE!
Can you give us the PowerPoint file you explaining in the video?!!!
@mentaldental

Yes! You can get them one of two ways. You can either sign up on my Patreon page for at least $10/month www.patreon.com/mentaldental or send $30 to me directly via PayPal www.paypal.me/mentaldental
in around 13to 15 minutes in the video, the percentage of the presence of MSA in not correct. MSA is present in 28% of patients, not in 75 %.
Larger gauge means more diameter?
@mentaldental
4 жыл бұрын
No, it’s the opposite. The smaller the gauge, the larger the diameter.
what about intraligamental anesthesia?
@mentaldental
3 жыл бұрын
Sure, do you have a specific question about that technique?
I thought they numb the area where they operate not the nerve.

Which is the most comprehensive mandibular block? Gow gates IANB Vazirani long buccal infraorbital Hello Ryan, there's been a lot of confusion amongst students lately regarding this question. It would be great for us if you could shed some light on this question. Thankyou.
