that’s why i’m here. i’m trying to see how long my locs could possibly start off and what it takes so i’m watching all these videos, because i’m tired of paying for a new hairstyles every month. i wear braids and faux locs the majority anyway so it wouldn’t be a big jump once they get long.

4 months and his hair shows no signs of locking?? That looks like he just installed starter locs lol. Does he keep a durag on everyday? Does he not spray to wet his hadir everyday? Because his hair should look much more locked than that, plus he's of 4 texture. Nevertheless, very neat job.

He doesn't wear a durag everyday. He only ties down before going to sleep. And he doesn't spray his hair to get it wet everyday either. He just sprays oil in it everyday. As a stylist I can only recommend upkeep it's up to the client (even my own Hubby lol) if they are going to do what's necessary to keep their hair looking good and healthy until I do it again.

  • @TkLowe

I left the clips in until his hair was dry (at least make sure the roots are dry). And yes his hair stayed twisted when I took the clips out. Hope this helps.
