This episode is a trip down memory lane diving WEST COAST LOBSTER and doing a catch cook in the old traditional style and the family sit around a table. Telling old stories having a glass of wine and laughing till you cry.
Me and Evan made a quick trip down to the West Coast because the crayfish season opened and we were not disappointment. The first day we struggled as we were not use to the ice cold water and scratching in shallow water for the bugs.
After me managed to get use to the cold water we got a couple of crayfish and went home to experience the hospitality of the wonderful West Coast locals. Thank you so much Pierre and Jacques for everything. We had a total blast of a time.

Lekker! Here in the South Island of NZ the temperature is down to 8 C Crays look just like the Cape Crays. Where did you dive?

Ons het bietjie vandag by De Bakke in Mosselbaai gaan duik. Dis n nice duik gewees. Julle moet bietjie try daar uitkom.

Het al Galjoen geskiet daar waar julle regs voor in die baai geduik het. Baie Hotties ook geskiet daar. Het al n 8kg geelstert geskiet by Bruinpunt. So 500m noord van die baai waar julle geduik het.

Eina moer.... Ek terg ysbere maar ek kon julle pyn voel in daai water. Laaste wat ek geduik het was die water 9 grade... Ons almal het mooi pimpel en pers daar uit gekom. Lekker vid man. Hou so voort. Hoe lank gaan julle weskus toer? Gaan julle Valsbaai se kant toe kom?

you damaged some may of those small crayfish, by breaking the legs and feelers.
