Lobes of the Brain: Cerebrum Anatomy and Function [Cerebral Cortex]
We will discuss the cerebrum, the cerebral cortex layer, and the different lobes of the brain along with their function, anatomy, and physiology. This video makes neurology and brain anatomy easy and is great for students, medical learners, nurses, USMLE, NCLEX, and much more!
The cerebral cortex can be divided into 4 main lobes: frontal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, and temporal lobe. Each lobe of the cerebrum has its own anatomy and function including executive functioning, movement, and processing sensory stimuli such as touch, vision, hearing, taste, smell, and proprioception
The cerebrum is made up of an outer grey matter layer called the cerebral cortex that surrounds the inner white matter layer. The folded cortex forms gyri (gyrus) and sulci (sulcus).
You will also learn simple tricks to remember the main functions of each lobe, and receive a brief discussion on the limbic system and insular cortex.

Thank you so much! Even Engineers can as well learn as much, with the clear presentation and how interesting and visually stimulating it can be as an addition to reading through the books..
Excellent presentation... thx so much! I work with a lotta folks with substance abuse issues, and I forget the role of dopamine particularly in judgement & higher functions in general. And of course one of the primary impacts of long-term addiction is a serious dopamine 'imbalance'!
This entered my brain faster than all my readof three weeks wow! Thank u

Are there any long term effects for someone who has has past injuries? I fell hitting my occipital lobe before. It happened in the year 2000. I possibly also had frontal lobe effects after falling and hitting my head in 2013.
True this helped me get a tut class.

Cheer~~~the principal and most anterior part of the brain in vertebrates, located in the front area of the skull and consisting of two hemispheres, left and right, separated by a fissure. It is responsible for the integration of complex sensory and neural functions and the initiation and coordination of voluntary activity in the body.😊
