As the Diamond Jubilee is celebrated of HM The Queen, we take a look at her namesake steam locomotive, Princess Elizabeth. The locomotive is seen on the main line hauling the prestigious Northern Belle over Shap and the Settle to Carlisle lines, along with hauling rail tours through Cheltenham Spa, Kensington Olympia and Chester. We also see the locomotive at Tyseley Locomotive Works and on the East Lancashire Railway.

A lovely locomotive and well loved and preserved 🙂i think the queens funeral should have been on this locomotive. A grand farewell to a lovely much respected and loved Lady.

At 2:07 she was really moving the princess royal class must have been stanier's answer to greasley's a class Pacifics and I wouldn't be surprised if back in the day Princess Elizabeth was also capable of doing 100mph
The 6201 is awaiting overhaul in 2022.

and I highly doubt she'll return anytime soon.. Her owners need around £160,000 for her firebox repairs but only £43,000 has been donated over the last year..
I had the H.O. or double O version by Triang & Hornby. Great engine. I wonder where these videos were shot?
