I love watching Kola, but he took a break after some Steve sets, then returned to a Steve banned tourney… has to face the meta garbage to restore that order. :P I think he can win that Matchup, Spargo does. And he rushes down similarly, but we need to see it! Would have loved to see a Kola dub or at least top 3!

he took a break after getting put in losers by sonix because he was burnt out. He didn't even finish his momocon bracket. not just because of steve or even the rest of the meta, it was burnout for playing like 9 years of competitive smash without ever really taking a good break. @@sarahsloot2290

That last set straight up felt like watching the final arc of an anime. I didn't even know the game could play that fast.

This is peak Smash. Nonstop scrapping, on the fly adaptation, both players inventing new tech out of necessity (y'all ever see Roy's Jounter before?). Just phenomenal.

This match is so insanely intense.. was at the edge of my seat the whole time and the commentary was golden

Spargo vs Kola for me were the real grand finals. I just don't have the patience to watch Steve and Sonic matches. Respect to Spargo for putting up with over an hour of Sonic matches. His victory was well deserved.

That combo offstage into swap into jump read with pyra for the kill was so sick. And it was literally the only way to take the stock there and a crazy way to bring back the set. Thats some spargo shit

basically any up air that shifts your hurtbox does pretty much the same thing, you see cloud do it alot too

Can anyone explain why Aegis players do the single beam up B shot instead of the multiple beam up B shots when edge guarding? I feel like the multiple shots are way better for that purpose.

The single beam shoots really far. The spreadshots range only extends to where mythra was when she used up-b. Its also easy to misinput the up b and get the wrong version.

I’m actually so disappointed at the result. I love Spargo, he’s a goat. But watching Kola play gets me so hyped usually and seeing how he approaches fighters pass 2 and other meta threats with the Young Lion, a former garbage character in the last 2 games he was in, along with the playstyle associated with him, is just so inspirational to me.

ahaha coming from both a spargo and Kola fan, spargo played like shit and still won. He held in everytime he was in disadvantage and kept getting raw F-smashed like elite smash. He blew every lead he had. instead of playing patiently and just hold shield until respawn invulnerbility times out he ran at roy like a monkey to try to get damage like roy isn't going to shield break you nor is he going to kill you with grab. And just like ledge option select from spargo was strange Kola must've jumped from the ledge about 90% of the set and maybe got punished once for it. Kola is mad at the end because he got the game stolen from him at the last second he knows that the set was all in his favor and blew it.
