He both aged in appearance and mentality. If you noticed the moment he changed due to the tea his intelligence increased and his interest in goofying off was more weak. From the way the creators said it he probably understood higher level math and understood certain things that people at that age know. The tea’s kinda wack ngl😭 But yeah it’s a little sad he lost two years of his childhood :( It’s true he will always have that kid inside of him!! The rest of the ninja have it too (They all are still teenagers)

@@chunkyspider8913 It honestly doesn’t really matter to me besides when people make him seem like a baby or make him really soft when in reality he’s not😂 he’s a element master (ig?) and he’s extremely smart and mature for his age (also all the ninja in general..for the most part) since technically all of them are still young adults/teens. He’s still got that child inside of him that comes out whenever they get a chance to relax and not worry about danger😂

Rewatching Ninjago as an adult really puts into perspective how messed up a lot of the stuff Lloyd goes through is. The fact that he's forced to literally give up his childhood just... Dang. In general the whole "children/teens being responsible for the fate of the world" thing gets kinda horrifying the older you get

When you’re a kid, that’s the fantasy. Being the hero, fighting the baddies that no one else can and taking on impossible challenges. Then as an adult you realize your mortality and know that in situations even half as dangerous as you imagined that you’d be lucky if you were just reduced to a blood stain and it makes you look at those fictional characters with almost parental concern. The idea of anyone being able to handle such things and not end up a mess because more and more of a fantasy as real life hits you.

What I find weird is that Lloyd dating someone, that someone would be 5-10 years older than him while to viewers not knowing the context would assume they are similar ages

I cursed so much especially when Harumi made Lloyd smile a little while she's convincing him that he loves her and held his cheek while they were obtaining the Mask of Hatred. My blood boiled so much. Not only did Harumi deceive Lloyd and broke his heart, but he brought back his dad - I can't elaborate further but bringing back the Garmadon Lloyd fought against is one of the biggest obstacles he had in his life (and if not just that, trauma as well). Harumi really did him wrong. : (

I watched Season 8 when it first came out and I was loving the Lorumi dynamic. But then she BETRAYED HIM! And I was like, "And I was just beginning to like you! I will kill this woman myself!"

I feel like Lloyd was constantly furrowing his eyebrows as a kid, probably to look more intimidating and cool, which is why his current eyebrow shape is so sharp and has those little lines closer to the middle. Like Kai and Nya often have these little lines at the corners of their mouths, either dimples, or a result of grimacing so much, Zane's eyebrows were just a couple of straight lines for a while, most likely because he didn't know how to emote properly yet, and had a more limited range of expressions, etc. I may be reading into these little character details too much, but I think they make sense, and help the cast feel a bit more different as people.

I love that Lloyd still has his childlike spirit even though he's aged up. It always adds a but of fun and adorableness into the show! Like when he gets excited and his eyes get all big, none of the other ninjas do this, except for when they were kids. I love that little detail

one of the more underrated scenes is when jay says that he was looking at the skull cuz it’s not a ugly, and lloyd loosing his crap laughing

I feel like the show should call more attention to how messed up this is, but I guess they would realize it would probably ruin Lloyd's image as the mature adult one with baggage, or at least if he wasn't always a teenager the whole time I would see him that way

@@leronelcock5765 Yeah I still think Zane has the most but Kai and Nya lost their parents when they were 3 and 6 and had to raise themselves. Kai also got betrayed by Skylor and Nya got pretty badly beaten up by Ultraviolet and then died from Kalimar and Wojira. Jay seemed fine until Naddikhan came along and revealed he was adopted and knows nothing about his birth parent as well as got basically tortured on Naddikhans ship. Cole lost his mother when he was about 6. He had a terrible relationship with his father. He got turned into a ghost and almost got trapped alone inside the haunted temple forever. Then he almost died from the Skull Sorcerer. Lloyd of course was abandoned by his mother at a boarding school. His father was evil and tried to murder him in season 8. Harumi tried to murder him as well. Then of course Zane lost his father who made him forget everything. Zane had no mother. He died from the overlord. His girlfriend got scrapped and could only exist in his head. He almost died again from Mr. E (and now that Mr. E is back more trauma for Zane). He got banished to the never realm and forgot everything again and got brainwashed by Vex. Then almost died again in prime empire when he was used to power the game portal.

I love how talkative he gets when he's with someone who doesn't talk back much. It's ridiculously relatable. And wow, I didn't know he loved mint so much. But there's something kind of refreshing about him retaining his love of candy. He really was such a pure, innocent character. Maybe that's why I find it kind of terrifying when he's angry, like with the whole Harumi debacle. I just watched the episode where Garmadon is resssurected with my little sister and the icy glare he gave her sent chills down my spine. And how mature he was in Crystallized. I realized that this is a fifteen-sixteen year old feeling responsible for the 'death' of a friend. Ninjago really does handle a lot of topics that other kids' shows don't, and it handles them effectively. There's a reason I'm fourteen and have been watching it continuously for six years.

Whenever I first reacted to that episode I've always had the theory that his mind just matured along with his body but only slightly wich explains most of his behavior but I always found it adorable when he did something kid-like

“I can count down to my own impending doom, thank you!” is such an underrated line tbh

I feel like Akita is a adult stuck in a teenager body(i dont Even know how old she is-) and Lloyd a kid stuck in a teenager body, at 4:01 she is just anoyded of Lloyds story, but still doesnt try to stop him from telling her his story, like a adult letting a child tell a story Even if they didnt want one. Idk this was my idea also bad english-

I think she realized that he REALLY needed to let it all out.

one of my favorite things about Lloyd is how he acts like a little kid like this sometimes like a lot of the time he acts young but in a more authentic way, like Jay is child like but in a way that a teenager is childlike, Lloyd acts like a kid in the way a kid does

2:58 Lloyd makes sense but the rest are adults yet it is amazing to see they retain their personalities after the time skip(or whatever was after hands of time to before sons of garmodon)

I love how he’s mature but with also the inner kid vibe

Tbh though I want to see more of the Ninja's daily lifes or somethin like that. Maybe LEGO can made shorts about them, cuz they never really seem to catch a break and are literaly always fightin, so I would like to see/explore the more childish side of them (especialy Lloyd's) Btw the bean's soo cute! 😍 His childlessness kinda faded after that whole 'Harumi incident' and she didn't even seem to give a sh!t about it, but I'm glad that his trauma WAS fading (before crystalized lol)

We sometimes see a glimpse into their normal lives usually at the start of a season. Like Season 1 and Season 11. Even a tiny bit in Season 12 if you watched the shorts or whatever for it. Also, we saw some of it in Season 13. I would like to see more, though. Also, yeah, Harumi is kinda a jerk to Lloyd...

The creators of the show said that Lloyd and Nya were about the same age, so we can count on the fact that he's supposed to be about 14-15 (Except the movie, he's 16 in the movie) but the tea made him 2 years older, so he should be 12-13, but while the other ninja are 15-16 by the time Lloyd is a kid, he's about 11 so he's basically 5 years younger than the rest- HES STILL A KID- *Season II should be titled:* *5 episodes of Akita being Lloyd's therapist!*

This is exactly what I need rn. To the Lloyd and kai shippers, remember kai is an adult and Lloyd is a kid in teenagers body

Essentially, Lloyd’s childhood went a little something like this: Dad left to be evil or smth Mom sent him to boarding school for bad kids to go ExPlOrInG Runs away from boarding school because he no likey Ends up on the streets, stealing food to survive Ends up on a flagpole with teenagers telling him to “pay next time” knowing dang well he doesn’t have any money while eating candy in front of him Exacts revenge by releasing snakes and meets Pythor, his first “true” best friend Realizes Pythor is a bad friend Gets taken in by Wu Ninjas finally start being friendly *His dad comes back* *DAD LEAVES AGAIN* *L O S E S R E S T O F C H I L D H O O D*

The fact that this is actually a real thing: Lloyd being a kid in a teen's body . . . funniest thing ever lol.

He just grew up because of the tea. But his Kiddo Mind is still inside his mind and his heart and i still like his attitude being a little kid around. Sometimes serious. He is always pure and fun. Some people dont know that an actual Kid, Is in a Teenagers body.

Always remember, he's the master of green boogers.

I was so sad when it happened- Lloyd didn’t deserve becoming older- honestly they excepted so much of him as a child and now they except so much more just because he’s older- he’s still practically a child 😭😭

I grew up watching this show and now at 17 I rewatched all of season 1 and 2. It astounded me how well Ninjago aged! Like, dang, I'm genuinely laughing at a kids show.
