Absolutely correct. Jay Z took LL Cool J formula. Hit em with hard-core songs and then hit em with the lady songs. Ain't No Nigga, Hey Papi, Change Clothes, Me And My Girlfriend and the list goes on. Jay z just never had the looks like LL to be called a lady's man. Even Method Man was trying to avoid going down that road. Lol big shoes to fill.

@@troyharrison1575 I'm going to be honest Troy I haven't heard it. But was Eminem's verse hot? Was it in the vein of other diss tracks? I don't think so. Melly mel is an elder statesman. There was a time when other m c's and groups were emulating his rap style, but that was a very long time ago. Grandmaster flash and the furious 5 was the ultimate group back in the late 70s early 80s because of Melly's rhymes primarily. But he always seemed bitter to me because he feels he doesn't get his due, and he's partly right. But unlike LL Melly didn't change with The Times, His rap style stayed in the late 70s early 80s🤷🏿

What makes it even more dope, it’s from someone you wouldn’t expect to do this due to his “Cocky braggadocio” image back in the day. Peeps would think a KRS, RAKIM or BIG DADDY KANE. Way too many enemies and Hennessy to be the greatest rapper but he had the greatest soul and heart. He is obviously the greatest HUMAN to just so happen to be a rapper though. LL nailed it, you don't have to pretend, if you are an elder statesman in this culture, you don't have to pretend that you grew up in this generation. Your subject matter should evolve, if you are still rapping about the same subjects that you were in your 20's that's when you are wack and should consider giving it up!

LL saying something we been saying for the longest time. Where are all the artist we love to hear. We don’t care about what’s hot now and all that. We just want to hear from who we like. Never mind the trends man just make music. There’s a whole fan base that got put on hold because their favorite artist doesn’t feel like they fit in to the current climate.
