the whole give me a minute album is my absolute favorite i have over 3,000 plays for it noooooo 😭😭 i totally get what she’s saying though; most artists grow and change and move on from their past work, myself included. i’m just so emotionally attached to that album LOLLLL

Aww I love her voice and all her songs but I love how gentle and nice that one is ya its cheesy and cute but simple can be good and comforting

A grilled cheese is a beautiful cheesy classic, just like this one

totally reasonable take. realistic but honest, and you can't fault her for having grown. that being said, even though that album might not have a ton of weight, it was creative and interesting songwriting that showed the promise she's realized in her more recent work. if it weren't for the fact that she was both a super talented musician and already a smart and clever songwriter, she wouldn't have gotten the artistic treatment from her representation that she has. it's very important to make note of how much creative autonomy and freedom she has; though she has certainly earned it, that is still a distinct rarity in the business and should be appreciated even more. the fact that we get more of HER in her work, rather than what label higher-ups think we'll like and pay for. I couldn't be more excited to see where she goes from here, because she's ready so damn good it's hard to imagine improving too much, but she always manages.

it’s not surprising at all that she doesn’t like it ,the more artists overplay their songs the least they’re gonna like it ,and most of the time an artist hates the most “mainstream” songs they have ,it’s usually pretty common that the songs that most people like they hate ,bc people overplay it ,I’m 100% sure that she liked ceilings more before but now that people are overplaying it on tiktok and everywhere she’s gonna stop liking it as much or she’s gonna find it repetitive and that’s just how it goes most of the times, not always but yeah
