A lot of people don't know this, but Lizzo's record label pumped a LOT of money into trying to make her famous earlier this year. They had her go around a bunch of talk shows (even though she was mostly unknown back then and didn't have a hit song yet), they paid money to have her songs used in movies and adverts, they paid to have her song Juice put on the front page of KZread for weeks. It's not an organic rise to fame. You can research this all for yourself. She was going on Ellen Degeneres and Jonathan Ross when she had no hits yet and hardly any name recognition.
