Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp

Reptilian humanoids have had a presence in human history for a long time. As such, it isn’t surprising that there’s also a lot of cryptids out there that speak of encounters with these creatures. One such encounter is the Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp.

Also I once heard a story about a retired crop duster named Frank Mitchell who claimed that back in the 80's he saw the Lizard Man crossing one of his fields and Mitchell saw it from his airplane. And there was another story about a teenager named Jamie Anderson who encountered the Lizard Man while camping one night in 1990, He was 17 years old at the time. And he decided he needed an adventure so he basically ran away from home and took a bus which stopped near the Scape Ore Swamp, But when Jamie decided to go back where he came from unforunately the next bus would be arriving for two days and at his age he couldn't stay at a motel so he decided to camp out in the swamp. And that night while at his campsite, Jamie heard a strange noise. But he came prepared with weapons namly a machete and a bull whip and when Jamie saw the creature, He managed to hit it with the bull whip twice until the Lizard Man grabbed it with it's talonlike claw and bit the end of the whip right off. And that caused Jamie to runaway from the monster which gave chase. Jamie was so desparate to get away from the creature that he even swam across a freezing river, And when he got to the other side he seemed to have escaped the monster but Jamie continued to run until he reached that road again, And when he got there he walked for at least 6 hours until a man in a pickup truck saw Jamie on the side of the road, And this man was Native American, And he offered to give Jamie a ride and he was hesitant to tell the man about what he saw but when Jamie told the man about it, All the man said was "You're lucky you only ran into the one." And in all honesty, I wasn't surprised that the man told Jamie that. Because even the modern day Native Americans know that there's something out there.

As to how he saw the (alleged) being, it was apparently at least bright enough to change a tire, right? So maybe he'd also be able to notice a man-lizard under such conditions.

Must've been something else if the sightings gradually faded and then became more folklore than encounters. Who knows what it was but it's quite interesting. Swamps, deep forests and tundras tend to spawn the most interesting legendary creatures.

@@jamesknapp64 There are. Sigthings have been going on since humans have existed. Moreso the bigfoot ones, but there are plenty of descriptions of lizard people that go way back as well.

It’s why a skeptic eye is a better eye, initially, because one shouldn’t get caught up in the mysterious and strange or you lose credibility by not being impartial. When everything is said and done the truth is what really holds up. I personally don’t believe in cryptic s, I don’t believe the majority of the people who claim they witnessed it, though for some of the people who genuinely feel they did see something, I feel for, because are the people who honestly saw something via pareidolia to make such heartfelt claims. Unfortunately, all of the claims of the paranormal aren’t real. They’re all just hoaxes. All of them. They do get divided in two of the same outcomes. Blatant hoaxes and inadvertent hoaxes. In the end…still a hoax. Though, the stories are intriguing. Reminiscent of camp fire stories, only better, as they’re mostly told by adults and becomes an anthology unto its own.
