Let's take a look at what she's defending and try and put this into context. 1. The Home Office have been on the losing side of enough cases about the legality of deportations to understand what legal standards have to be met in order to remove someone from the UK. 2. As of yesterday 10 or 11 people were on the flight reported to be costing hundreds of thousands of pounds. This morning that number has been reduced to 7 with further legal challenges on a case by case basis expected today! I'd like to know. Why wasn't the flight full? Why were there not people in reserve to take advantage of any last minute available seats? Why were people considered suitable for removal yesterday suddenly deemed not fit and removed from the flight? It's hardly something to be shouting from the rooftops as a success and a solution to the problem of migration. Isn't it just another expensive and futile scheme like Paying France £54million to stop boats leaving. Border Force Ninjas in the Chanel on Jet Skis turning boats back to France. Outsourcing the accommodation and support services of migrants to companies making huge profits but not meeting the obligatary standards required? Seeing our Home Office in action is like watching a Brian Rix stage farce!

Good morning, I can answer your questions. 1) 'Losing' cases isn't quite right. Many of the cases have process arguments - the lawyers argue that more could be done, or the clients could provide more evidence. One could argue, and I would, that many were not in good faith and designed to delay and delay and delay. This is in comparison to almost two thirds who feel strongly that their life and community is being negatively impacted by immigration, and who feel strongly that they want controls on legal and illegal (without even arguing about those terms). A cost-effective and smooth running programme is a challenge because of the the third of the country that oppose any controls and there are big organisations now that professionally disrupt HO efforts. I'm not arguing whether that is right or wrong, just that it happens.

Being allowed by the French, a perfectly safe haven, as well as all the other safe countries they pass through to risk their lives crossing the Channel. Why are they so desperate to get here? It won't stop the criminal gangs. It is a very expensive and unnecessary dead cat. The UK Parliament have not agreed to it. It doesn't reduce immigration as the agreement allows Rwanda to send an equal amount of their refugees back to the UK.

There is an alternative. Give asylum seekers safe passage and process their claims properly. No need for traffickers and channel deaths then. Also people do not realise that the Rwanda agreement means we have to accept at least a quid pro quo number of people back from Rwanda.

This country has taken in way too many asylum seekers as it is and given those people more support than its own citizens who have paid into the system of government have needed. Even veterans who need help and have actually fought for it. Why? Don’t get me wrong Johnson and the toddies have got a lot wrong but This is the right thing to do. This country is at breaking point, we can’t keep taking people who want to come here for an easy ride and get handed everything.

Establish a principle to some people fleeing a war torn country? Not sure they'll be keeping up with British politics while on the road so the trafficking won't be affected at all

I hadn’t heard of #Rwanda until recently. I’ve learnt a lot. It is apparently a luxury holiday destination promoted by soccer team Arsenal. We are sending illegal immigrants to a resort like the Costa Del Sol? What on earth is immoral about that? I’d say it’s rather nice of us✅

They willingly agreed to this policy for the cash not to mention the additional work force all those doctors and scientists! Why can't African countries accept immigration especially from their own religion or the middle East?

I have been informed on a blog that we send refugees to Rawanda but we are then obliged to bring back their refugees to resettle here. Now this is such a breath taking nonsense we contribute Millions too. I need some confirmation of the facts as being true, is it possible to confirm this from a trusted source.

This is against people trafficking, is that why they punish the victims? It is like the police giving tickets to house owners who have been robbed instead of the thiefs

As far as the E.U. are concerned, things change - Russian politics have changed - Sweden and Finland politics have changed - recently Irish politics changed - the E.U. stance on Ukraine changed - so due consideration is deserved when alterations are suggested for how trade is monitored between two United factions of G.B.

I see things quite different. This is not about the need for change. This is about the UK Brexit government picking a fight with the EU to please the radical fraction of the Brexit movement. The UKs recent "proposal" is simply that the UK should decide everything and that the EU should have no say over what happens in NI, but that the EU should accept no border between NI and Ireland and therefore loose control over trade in the EU. It is not in any way a sensible suggestion. It is a clear provocation that, at worst, will be implemented after strong modification in four or five years, and most likely never. But it is serving its purpose by creating more tension with the EU. That it all it does. I dont think it is a smart move.

section 16 of the deal reads. 16 Resettlement of vulnerable Refugees 16.1 The Participants will make arrangements for the United Kingdom to resettle a portion of Rwanda’s most vulnerable refugees in the United Kingdom, recognising both Participants’ commitment towards providing better international protection for refugees.

Only 7 are being deported to Rwanda today the plane is bring back 33

Rwanda is in a politically unstable region and has been accused of attacking a neighbouring country. Many of it’s own people left because of the genocide and until recently the accommodation for these refugees from Iraq, Iran and Syria was being used to accommodate survivors of the genocide. The superior attitude of these politicians is appalling.

When asked about how many people will be deported on first flight, she claims she doesn't know and then keeps repeating the idea that it's the model that's important. Repeating the same lines several times in one sitting doesn't bode well for her standing as a stateswoman. Liz, don't repeat the same thing 3 times, we get it.

are the Tories taking talking points from the USA's Republican Party ? this is almost equivalent to building the wall. We struggle with getting workers doing certain jobs. we have refugees who can do those jobs but instead of giving them those jobs we are paying to send them away and house them in another country.

don't forget, people voted for brexit regardless of what it would do to the economy or even being able to get basic supplies that they're used to. Brexit had to prevail no matter what. If there are not enough people to pull crops from the ground at harvest time then so be it, as long as "Brexit got done"!

The ludicrous assertion that this will stop the people traffickers is beyond contempt. This policy is essentially inhumane. The inhumanity as such, doesn't surprise me; we are, after all, talking about a Tory government. The people sent to Rwanda will end up travelling back and, if they survive, will go through this process until they meet a government that isn't utterly amoral.

It’s the awful business model and trade in misery that’s Liz’s primary concern…….she reeks of sincerity, doesn’t she? Wonder why Israel pulled out?

I really hate the way some of these politicians dont answer the question, and talk as if we are stupid.

As a start they should make the boats be registered to identified individuals from the moment of purchase and they should only be sold to people within the area they are being purchased. They should pay a licences and if they travel to a different country the purchaser or subsequent owner should face a hefty fine.

Its not just the people traffickers that are immoral, it is the people that not only continue to support them and defend them, but also offer zero alternatives. Traffickers gonnaTraffic. Groomers gonna Groom. Enablers gonna Enable. Love to see if the Church of England is funded by, helps and supports this trafficking and if its more than just verbal.
