45 with heart failure. Just got a pace maker Implanted 2 months ago. Always tired, can’t sleep, don’t feel like doing anything anymore. Been very emotional lately and scared. Trying to muster the energy to even go for a walk and now unsure if this pace maker may hAve been a good thing. Great story I just watched I guess I’m not alone. Need me some heart failure friends 😊 feel free to reach out. Best of luck to all 🙏❤

Fatigue is a big part of heart failure & it seems (to me) unless you bring it up, medical professionals sort of brush it aside or at least don't educate enough on it. I'd finally gotten my cardio to acknowledge the fatigue & stamina issues I have were expected when his nurse came in a short bit later & asked me if I'd put my veggie garden in yet. I looked at her like she'd lost her mind & told her I got all I can do to wash a sink of dishes. 🤣 Gardening? My flower beds look like a jungle.🙃🙄 I'm 59 & was diagnosed 22 months ago. Everyone is different. Symptoms can be different & how you tolerate them can be different. Just as how you react to the diagnosis can be different. If you're having issues sleeping ..... are you feeling anxiety at night? (not uncommon) My family doctor told me to not be surprised if I had some issues with depression & anxiety at first and to not be afraid to contact her for help. So far I've coped pretty well on both counts minus a moment here & there but it's nice to know she's got my back if I need it. I just get up every day & do what I can when I can and let what I can't go. Some days I can manage quite a bit. Other days getting out of the chair is a challenge. I used to exist on less than 6 hrs a night........these days I average 8 or more & can take a 4 hr nap or fall asleep in my chair. I've found it's less depressing to go with the flow. 🥰❤ It takes some adjustment hon, both physically & mentally. ❤❤

Oh thank you for saying the words I’ve been thinking. Your garden looks like mine, I wake up after about three to four hours, have go to the bathroom ( thanks Lasix) then I cake go back sleep, I’m 76 ( yes, I’m old) but until, last spring I had no idea, I spent ten years taking care of my husband who has Parkinson’s , including the house, the cars, yard, shopping for our food, I take care of getting and making him take his meds, shower, do all those things he won’t or can’t do. I thought was why I got short of breath, I already had a bad back from helping him over our 56 years of building, rooms, homes, yards. I worked in healthcare but didn’t pay attention to my health, others came first. I get the all I can is wash the dishes in sink”. My home is mess, I haven’t clean months, no energy, no money to pay others. I don’t care anymore, about much of anything. Hubby is in hospice, he is hanging, bless him. He is now forgetful of even much of our life together. I’m always thirsty( got watch my intake of fluids, damn!) I never really got to retire, I retired to take care of him. Never will get travel like I wanted.

I found out 2 months ago that I have heart failure. I have faith, but I'm only human so I'm scared. I haven't told anyone outside of my sister and 1 friend in another state that I don't talk to often. I feel alone I am alone I don't have kids I'm single and now I'm damaged. I don't tell people because I do not want to be the "broken" friend i dont want people who otherwise have no time for me to rush over just to get one last look at me so I stay to myself. I'm not a drinker nor do I smoke still this happened to me overall I feel really well I'm not tired or fatigued . This video gives me hope that i can still live a good life.

OMG! I’m way older, 72, and just diagnosed. It started a yr ago with a slow rise in BP, and just terrible fatigue. Then a year later breathing problems that caused Respiratory Failure and heart failure with cardio conversion followed by cardiac ablation. Has not worked. I’m getting up there and lived a very full adventurous life.my grandfather died of heart failure and my mother heart problems. So I’m OK. Signed a DNR, no chest cracking or intubation for me. But to see these young people is heartbreaking!!! This is so completely unjust. I know the world is not fair, but suffering from a genetic defect is crushing. My only goal in all this is not to suffocate to death as my friend’s husband did on his death. That’s all. Just go as my mom did with a peaceful good death.

Hope this finds you well. Just take it one day at a time and find joy whenever and wherever you can. It’s true that none of us have an expiration date, but we all will die one day. People who were completely healthy this morning with seemingly a long life ahead of them are gone now due to an unforeseen circumstance such as an accident or a health issue they knew nothing about. So live your life one day at a time , enjoy as much as possible. Sit outside and just take in the sights and sounds and aroma of nature. Relax. Talk to God. Keep your mind engaged in hobbies such as reading or puzzles and games. Anything maybe you were too busy to do in the past, take the opportunity to do now, whatever it is. TV, videos or music. Please take care of yourself and follow your doctor’s advice as much as possible. And above all NEVER give up. You never know what might be on the horizon in terms of medical advances in medicine or procedures. May God bless you!

Depends how extreme ur at . Me I wear out easy I get chest pains when I over do . I can't work out . I swell up. I take water pills everyday and heart pills blood pressure pills the older you get longer u have it you can feel your body say no you can't do this . So I don't push myself anymore to make others happen. I get echo every 6 mths covid I had to wait a yr . So listen to your body don't push urself to make other happy . I had more angry people than feeling sorry for me . They were angry I couldn't do what I've done in past . Like work . I did for awhile and I can't anymore . Not going to happen people are use to me go go go .. And they didn't take it good my family my friend all I got was you can do it keep going can't you go back to work now ? Like no get over it I'm done . Let me do what I want when I can do it . But Everything gets harder as yrs go on .So I never had anyone feel sorry for me . To this day they want me to work and be my old self . I knew it was my heart before le my heart Drs knew. Kept saying it was anxiety I saw 3 heart Dr one for 7 yrs straight kept saying wasnt my Heart idiot . Finally was sent to A new Heart Dr and by then my heart was at 5 percent if my Rheumatologist hadn't sent me to Cardiolagist upstairs I'd be dead . Went to hospital next visit. 4 yrs ago . It effects your other organs when your heart doesn't pump right .so you need to go in and make sure all is well .But I laughed when they told me cuz I knew I was right .smh .I was lucky and that's all they kept telling me in hospital you were lucky .And I kept telling my family it was my heart everyone nd Dr said it was Anxiety F them .lol I don't have anxiety I do now but I've been complaining about chest pains legs pains fatigue since 2003 so yeah Dr are just pull pushers for anxiety .If your lucky you get a Good Dr my ruemo Dr Panahi saved my life . I love him .😘💖 And my New Heart Dr. My family felt bad really when they knew I was right they should know I'm never wrong maybe 2 percent of the time I'm wrong . Out of 100 .

The same thing happened with me..I had high blood pressure for over a whole decade..I wasn't taking the meds like I should have..if I had listened maybe I wouldn't be in the shape I'm in now..I try to exercise but my doctors say donr overdo..I'm used to go go go..then when I retired from work..I just sat around and ate. Another thing ..the few friends I had moved from around me..and my family is across country..and I became depressed..I gained weight and then by the time I quit smoking and drinking and lost weight..I couldn't move like I wanted. I'm trying to be active but I get so tired and I feel like it's damn if I do and damn if I dont..I don't want to ever go back to being as huge as I was in weight..and I hope it ain't too late for me..I'm 67 years old now and I'm just gonna keep on trying and not give up.. if it wasn't for the cardiologist I saw in november that told me I had heart failure..I had no idea..I would probably be dead now. I pray to God to please let me live to be really old like my mom did she made it to almost 90..I got my grown kids and my grandkids and other family members as well as myself to live for..even if I.didnt think of it before.

@lori4291 Your story intrigues me. I'm a Dutchman (living in the Netherlands) and experience (well, in fact it feels like suffering) symptoms that are heart failure. Shortness in breathe, dizy, chest pains, arrhytmia, high blood pressure, foamy white slime, fatigue, confusion, anxiety, oedema et cetera. This for approx. 6 months now. I went to my home doctor. Because of a burnout I had in 2015, she said it was stress related. I had one ECG that turned out to show an arythmia /bradycardia. Homedoctor persisted its stress related. I just got worse and worse. Also experience difficulties with peeing and many other symptoms. Went to a cardiologist. On an - external - echo my heart seems to pump properly. Nevertheless, I understood that it could also be a stiffer heart muscle which isnt visible /HfPef. My cardiologist want willing to research this. Over here, in the Netherlands, there hardly is time for a decent consultation. All about insurance. This just more than terrible. I cant function anymore at all. I was a vital man in the age of 42. I'm wondering what you would recommend to do. Looking forward to your response. .much appreciated.

Been to ER a dozen times, they do the same type of examinations, ECG, blood tests, chest x-ray - everything is normal but I feel extremely weak and chest pains all the time, anxious, coughing, vertigo and dizziness... No hope left for them. Waiting times are atrocious here in Ireland, even to get to my General Practitioner to collect my heart CT exams I have to wait 4 weeks!! It's insane. I hate these doctors

I'm 47.. I had a defibilator and a wisdom tooth extracted.. I had no idea I was supposed to have antibiotics 3 to 5 days prior to the extraction, and I wasn't given any.. It caused an infection in my blood, and heart..so unfortunately I'm in CHF.. Ugh

I am told that after a heart attack 5 years ago my heart now works at 25%. I have no symptoms. I walk miles a day not tired or anything. I knew that after the heart attack my heart took damage. My cardiologist for the last 5 years never explained how much damage. He retired so I have a new Doctor that has ran all these test. He put me on Entresto and is suggesting a pace maker probably will be needed. I am 54 and plan on retiring in a year to Mexico. Mexico has great health care, but cardiologist usually only in the bigger cities with private hospitals that are as good or better than most of ours here in the states. Now I'm thinking about is the pace maker needed? How much will the treatment cost in the future? Can I really retire with these costs and no insurance with no job. @JeseniaRodriguez-Ic5or how are you doing with your pace maker?
