After a week with the Lexus LC500 I really started to love this vehicle. It has some flaws, including mediocre practicality given the segment (tiny trunk, useless rear seats), but the gorgeous styling, fantastic naturally aspirated V8 and well rounded driving dynamics really makes up for it. The touch trackpad is still annoying for the infotainment, but spending time with this car really makes me want one. Enjoy this vlog and mini review of this beautiful $113k Lexus LC500 Convertible!

I just picked up my 2024 LC 500 Inspiration Series ( # 36 out of 125) about a week ago, just drove it from the dealership In Cerritos, Ca, ( stay away from this Lexus dealership) to my house in Murrieta Ca and the following day, my wife and I went out of town, can't wait to go back home and drive this bad ass baby. Have to say, even though it was a rainy day, driving it home, put a smile on my face. Yes, I know it might not be the fastest car in town, but I really don't care about it, or the negative comments about it, It's the car I fell in love with and it's the car I can afford . I had a 2013 911 before, Jaguar F Type, 2017 Audi R8 and a Benz AMG C class and despite some of them were faster than my LC, this is the one I will keep for years to come.

What makes it unique? What are some of the things u liked better than your 911? I remember having a similar feeling back in the 90s with the 1st gen nissan 300zx. They made them really cheap after that.
These cars are all ready collectors items and are proving to be great investments to own and enjoy trouble free. Must be a Lexus!
I drove a couple of LC 500s recently at the Lexus Performance Driving School, and my goodness... I love these things. The sound is unreal. I own an IS 500, and it doesn't sound anywhere near as good as an LC 500. I also really like the seating position and the overall luxurious interior. Glad you got to spend some time with one.
Well, the 2024 will do away with the track pad and give us a touch screen as well as some new color choices 😉

The Lexus LC 500 is the most unbelievable car to drive and own! And it won’t break!!!
I am the proud owner of a 2023 LC500 Convertible. The car is stunningly beautiful. The interior is just beautifullly well made. Super ride , quality at every turn and plenty of power. Yes it has a track pad, yes it has no usable rear seats. So what? No rear seats so what its more of a luxury . Need more seats buy a mini van. What else can I say. That color looks so good on this. With that unmatched gray trim, only certain colors look good on this car without painting the trim pieces.
I dig it. Looks like it would be a lot of fun driving around. Man I need to get some press credentials so I can borrow vehicles to drive around and review, that would be rather fun.
You said the key combo that has me interested. It’s a “Japanese Austin Martin” in the styling, and with Toyota quality/reliability, you can actually drive 200k miles. If I bought an LC In the Michigan, of course i would have my truck for winter, so that changes the use and mileage. Realistically at 60 years old, this could be the last “car” I ever buy.
You should really buy this. It is really perfection. Great video.
Never thought I'd hear a stock Lexus that was obnoxiously loud. I've seen everything in life.

@ 8:50, the Climate Control difficulties Climate Concierge synchronizes all the different comfort options -- heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, heat scarf in the headrest and the main HVAC system -- to use just the temperature selection on the dash. Set your temp and the car figures everything else out. As the owner of a '21 Convertible, I've never gone into the climate control settings as you did and turn everything on/off individually. Set the temp on the dash and let the car figure it out. It really works. These cars are amazing, about to trade in my '21 for a '24 in the new Ultrasonic Blue.

Great video Eddie! Love the Lexus LC content! I recently picked one up myself.
Why does no one know what climate concierge is on the LC? I agree the touchpad, even when you get used to it, is tedious, but with concierge you never need to use it in the first place. The car will automatically turn heated/cooled seats and the heated wheel up/down/off as the desired temperature is achieved. It does a great job and you don't need to manage the HVAC at all.

The front grille of every modern Lexus is the single biggest feature that I can’t take. When I shopped for a replacement daily driver from my then aging Infiniti FX35, I gave Lexus LS a hard look because I know they are extremely reliable. When in the driver’s seat of the LS the car becomes more bearable despite its mediocre infotainment. However stepping out of the car and giving the car a last glance before walking away… bhehhh. I end up going with a the Audi A6. Pretty soon I need to upgrade my wife’s SUV and it will never be a Lexus. For the price point of the LC500, there are plenty of better options.
To me it was meh... glad you enjoyed it
This person is talking about the size of the trunk being small, its a convertable ....duh.... German made coupes can't hold a candle to this car, Reliable...better resale value......get a clue dude
The quality of this review is sub-standard at best. Unfortunately this reviewer is a "Know It All" and never bothered to read the OWNER'S MANUAL so he's not at all familiar with the features of this car. We know that because like many lazy reviewers, he complained about the trackpad. He never mentioned VOICE COMMAND which, when learned, eliminates the use of the trackpad in all but a very few situations making the car safer to drive because the driver's eyes never leave the road. This reviewer should have demonstrated just how easy and how well VOICE COMMAND works. But, he didn't. He also complained about the trunk space which actually can hold two sets of golf clubs. The LC wasn't designed to be a mini-van or SUV. It is designed for a specific demographic and in that respect gets 100%. I know this because I've owned my 2018 for almost five years and it's absolutely perfect and by far the best car I've ever owned. I have owned many, many cars and none come close to the sheer enjoyment of driving this vehicle. It's designed for the public roads, not the race track. It is a two-seater but can hold four people if two of them are small children. Unlike most other cars, the Lexus is reliable and won't empty your bank account. The best thing anyone can do is to go drive one. Once you do that, you will fall in love. If you do buy an LC 500, read the OWNER'S MANUAL and become familiar with all the features these cars have to offer. Don't be like this bozo and think everything should be intuitive. It's highly complex and does require a little time spent learning about it. If you do that simple basic task, you won't be sorry.
They don’t need F trim for this, it is Luxury not sports car.

Eddie you are so cute. (No homo ong except that one time...oh well)
For a seemingly bright guy who gets most of the LC 500 right, you struck out on the infotainment system. I would have guessed that you would have read the OWNER'S MANUAL and had the brainpower to assume Lexus didn't overlook anything. They didn't but you did. Why some people get into a highly complex, highly technical machine and think they know everything boggles my mind. I'm really, really, really smart and I never assume I know everything. I wouldn't go from a Cessna 172 straight into a Lear 60 and assume I didn't have to read "the book". VOICE COMMAND is what Lexus wants you to use but so many people don't know that. The engineers and designers at Lexus don't expect people who are traveling at 130 feet per second to take their eyes off the road so they can make a phone call or text their wife or even find a pizza joint. Most everything you can think of can be done while keeping your eyes on the road and BOTH HANDS on the steering wheel so that you accomplish your primary mission while driving and that is..."DON'T GET DEAD". There are just a few times when you have to use the trackpad. If you want to change the temperature of your seat you press a button on the steering wheel and then say "show the front seat heater screen". The screen pops up and THEN you must look away, as you would with ANY OTHER SEAT TEMP ADJUSTMENT and slide your fingers up or down. If you want to find a particular address say "Get directions to xxxxxx". VOICE COMMAND works great and it has done so for me for almost five years. Part of growing up and becoming a real adult is doing adult things. I have a lot of hope for you and predict you will do this in the future. The LC 500 is the finest GT car in production today. It's not a SUV, limo or truck. It's not a race car. If you're looking for an automobile that has been proven to be the best, this is the car. If you decide to buy one...read the OWNER'S MANUAL and learn about all the features. Don't be a kid!!

@@HarryBaalzach How many reviewers are like this guy? They are all the same and it is so unfair to the manufacturers who loan them these cars to drive with the expectation of getting a "fair" review. The technology that went into this car is world class. We owners are getting a $300k plus car for one third the price. Wouldn't the RIGHT THING TO DO be to read the OWNER'S MANUAL and then relay to the viewers all the wonderful features of this or any other car? It's sort of a "we'll loan you our car but please give us a fair shake" kind of deal. Instead, 99% of these dopes don't do that. And, literally every single one of them points out just how crappy the infotainment system is. I've watched several reviews where the idiot claimed you couldn't change the radio station while the car was moving. The infotainment system is fine. Once you learn to use VOICE COMMAND you almost never have to use the trackpad which means your eyes never leave the road. A simple voice command like "show front seat heater screen" gets you right to that screen which means you DON'T HAVE TO FIDDLE AROUND AND GO THROUGH ALL THE DIFFERENT MENUS. The reviewer should fulfill his obligation and show the viewer just how easy it is to use instead of bitching about how horrible it is. Maybe the ignorance or laziness of these reviewers is preventing people from buying arguably the finest car in production today? Think about the effect it would have on Lexus if sales skyrocketed on the LC500. That just might inspire them to put more time and energy into this car and make it even better? The bottom line is this reviewer and so many others aren't doing a very good job. Generally, they just want to get in the car, stomp on the gas and complain the car isn't fast enough. What a shame!!
