That gas mileage is actually pretty impressive! For something at that much HP, 12-15 mpg is great!

Bro you're absolutely correct. I have a 2021 Escalade Platinum that we bought brand new in 021 and I get 12-15 mpg and I'm happy with that. I just put a deposit on a 2023 V Escalade (as tested red exterior/black interior ) and I will be happy if I get the same mpg as Eddie X received on his test drives even though it's a 682HP beast........ Looking forward to the V...... slow delivery but hope I get it by the Fall

When I first saw the V on Thestraightpipe and the first scene was them flooring it, with the front end lifting up and that sound. I laughed soo hard like this is the stupidest thing to want to make. I NEED IT IN MY LIFE. 🤣

I'm about to trade in an Escalade Premium that I had since new for the past 3 years. I love the quality that went into the vehicle. The retractable side steps, sound damping material between the cabin and frame, solid dash that never squeakes, dual pane glass for outdoor noise reduction, excellent pickup, exterior ground and door handle lighting and much more. Mine will be a Black on Black V-ESV with the Super Cruise driving system, Night Vision and Fridge/Freezer as well as the auto up rear windows (didn’t know that was an option until you said it). I think I saw one of these on Car Wow. Very nice, it was compared to the other high horse gas engine SUV's. I don't think it was the fastest, but it was not the slowest. I think it is one of the heaviest. Some might think that sounds bad but all the suv's it was compared against were basically the best offered for the brands. Nice work Caddy!

For me, I need a ZR2 (GM's answer to the Ford Raptor). I'd love to mod the engine with aftermarket chips to push it to 500 hp. The base ZR2 V8 is 420hp, which is decent enough for most customers.

Watching this video on Christmas day 2023 and taking it as a special Christmas gift, especially since its color red as if Santa's modern sleigh. Truly enjoyed it but don't know why door closures do not have the smooth closure feature as those models from the Seventies's and Eighties.

Having owned Magnuson (supercharger) equipped Tahoes and Suburbans in the past, it's an interesting option but for $150k...pricey. Our three toddlers always choose the TRX for daily drop off/pick-up, cold starts begin their happy day!

This Escalade "V" with the supercharger is a power house. I would definitely spec this one out first when I finally get there. School has honestly been the massive road block for me so far... Can't wait to go back to this comment to see how far I've come.

it all depends on gas prices. I have an 18 and usually fill up with 22 gallons @ $4.39 premium for around that price and last about a week lol since i don't drive much. it really drinks up the fuel when i leave it on sports mode. it sounds better but more fuel.

I like this car a lot but a part of me always gravitates towards the Yukon Denali, both are amazing!

I'm glad they at least rebated you $50 for the window controllers. Saves a bit of money.

I think it needs a bigger gas tank. The low fuel light was on, and it only took 20 gallons. The range after filling up was only 313 miles.

I don't think the gas tank is the issue. It's the insane weight of the vehicle. All those power seats in the back are HEAVY. This monster weighs 6,200 lbs!! My VW GTI weighs only 3,000!! Yikes.

You are a former gm customer I assume. Yea, today's vehicles have problems designed into them. Each model face-lift, some other set of problems come up. And gm never fixes it from year 2 year. It's fixed with a new designed model

Torque converters lock when at highway / cruising speeds, not during aggressive driving. They lockup to prevent excessive slipping and heat.

Oh man this thing is such a beauty&beast vehicle!

GM not putting this engine in a truck to compete with the trx and raptor should be a crime. Not sure what GM was thinking not giving the competitors some competition.

Um, their ZR2 is meant to compete with the TRX. It has an optional 420 hp 6.2 liter V8. It isn't necessarily a "small" engine, LOL...

Having a fully loaded at4 I will say GMC hits it out of the park with their camera system. Blows all the competition I've seen out of the water. Drive lines for the front facing camera. An intelligent system to auto switch between the front and rear facing camera. Front and rear cameras that automatically come on during certain situations. And a system that allows you to use all the cameras while in motion (at any speed), albeit for only a few seconds. Every other car, outside of GM, I've driven with a 360 camera system lacks one of these, making the experience suck when compared to GM

Sounds like pure bliss 🔥
