Living What He Paid For - Dan Mohler | Nations Church Podcast

Ойын-сауық

In this podcast, Dan Mohler teaches about the importance of living our life in a way that honors the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. God instructed Dan to read Philippians 2. As he went back to that chapter daily for several weeks, he learned how to meditate on God's word, pray it back, and commune with Him. "I never read the Word to memorize it. I read the Word to become it."
"Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked" (1 John 2:6 ESV). As you listen to this message, ask God to help you know Him more by meditating on His Word, so that you can follow Him and find your purpose in Christ.

@cherylrightnour9918 First, we had permission from our pastor, but tbh the way you're supposed to connect, I don't think was working for my husband, so he sent it somewhere else. I'm sorry he did it all, so I'm not really sure. He hasn't gotten any response that I'm aware of, but I'm sure he gets asked to many places! ❤️Our church needs this plain truth whether they want it or not. It's not time to be playing church! 🙏🏼

I loved this - but the question I’m left with is HOW? Practically speaking , how do I make the leap from loving God’s glory as much as any other hobby or interest but not as much as my own safety or well being, to having God’s glory be what I live for?? I’ve been born again for a long time and have never been able to make the leap. Every time I think I have, something happens and I lose my temper or crumble. Tips, Dan?

I hear u, Jesus says "Learn from Me, For I Am meek and Humble!", Daily, Learn from our Master to be humble and meek, its a process "renewing our mind by The Word of God". Slowly we become better and better at imitating Christ, until it becomes the natural in us. By the way, i 'm not fully there myself, but just growing daily in the Brightness of His Presence. Running the race as best i can, but Jesus is so perfect in every way He is hard to catch up on. He is happy though that we have picked up our crosses and keep rising to the challenge wanting to follow Him. God Bless, keep the faith and His Faith will keep u.

Truth mixed with ignorance. Very dangerous clip out of full context. Had a lady's abuser send this clip to her as a way to revictimize her in Jesus' name. "I can't be emotionally abused." Yes, you can. Bible tells us all to expect persecution. The very definition of abuse is that it is a pattern of behavior over time that erodes one's confidence and beliefs. It took this woman nine years of berating by her abuser before she was beat down enough to be affected. I wouldn't be the one to tell her she 'doesn't know her identity' because she finally allowed her her pain from the experience to surface. God is with the broken hearted. How do you think their hearts were broken in the first place? Very interesting that when her abuser was asked why he sent her this video it was because he found it so good and encouraging. I can see that. It placed the responsibility of the abuse on the victim and spoke nothing to the behavior of the abuser. "I can't be emotionally abused" is gaslighting and unscriptural. Galatians 5:15 says if we bite and devour one another beware lest we be consumed by one another. Back up to verse 13-14 and the responsibility to our behavior and choices in how we treat each other is very clear. This message out of context gives rein for people to claim they are free from sin because they have confessed with their mouth Jesus is their Lord, yet hold them in bondage because they blind to the sin in their lives, the way they treat others, and the fruit it produces. The many times spoken in the Bible... IF you walk in the Spirit... needs to be made clear. Walking in the Spirit is a choice made day by day and moment by moment that is confirmed by the fruit produce. It doesn't just happen because the opportunity to walk in the Spirit is available to us. Nor does it happen because we believe we are doing it. Truth lies in the produced fruit on the other side of our choice as to which master we serve in this moment and the next and the next. Watched other Mohler videos and I do not believe this is his intent. When you put other teachings with this clip, I clearly see where he is coming from. Yet, we have to be very careful how the Gospel is presented or it can harm others. Who do you serve? Next time I'll have her call you and you can explain to her why she isn't good enough, patient enough, or holy enough to endure the sin of her abuser.... after she has experienced nine years of long suffering. Btw... her abuser will not even listen to her because anything she says that implies his words hurt her goes against the teaching of Dan Mohler, a man of God who 'gets it right'. She just needs to 'get with Jesus and get over it'.
