One of my favorite clients recently hired me to decorate her new gorgeous home in the flats of Beverly Hills. Her house was built in the 60's and has beautiful bones. When taking on the design of her living room we knew we wanted a calm and soothing color palette. We had a great deal of fun incorporating new modern pieces in a gorgeous traditional house. We picked a transitional sofa in crisp white linen with polished nickel legs, and acrylic modern club chairs upholstered in rich velvet with the same nickel hardware. I designed a custom coffee table for her so that it would fit beautifully in the space with edgy modern legs. We added beautiful art to her walls that had personal meaning and found a way to display all her family heirloom treasures in a glass cabinet that felt modern and minimal. We also looked at the placement of her baby grand Steinway Piano in the room as her young daughters love to play. I hope you enjoy watching this episode as much as we had fun decorating this home! Do let me know what aspects of the room were most interesting and appealing to you!.

Very beautiful design! Just one thing - the Tom Ford coffee table book is soo over played. It seems that every home/apartment tour has the SAME book. I thought AGAIN! There are some many more options available.

Hi Nina, you always do a fabulous job. I'm also currently doing my formal living room. And we were thinking of the same color scheme. Can you please tell me what shade is the velvet on the chairs. We were thinking of doing a velvet , shade similar to yours and perennial white on chairs.
Thanks found the link Love it

I LOVE EVERYTHING, BUT...A beautiful subtle Brazilian cowhide would have been INCREDIBLE under that piano! One with those beautiful greige tones would have brought great texture between the hard piano and the hardwood floors.

We bought these at Restoration Hardware. xx
This is a beautiful and timeless design. I love the quiet elegance of it all. I especially appreciate the "air" around each element. Your decision not to put something on every available blank wall space is also very impressive. The restraint here is the mark of a talented and experienced design professional. Well done! But I noticed there are not any lamps in this room. Natural light appears to be more than adequate during the daytime, but how is the space lit at night? Is it illuminated by recessed lighting, track lighting or by some other less obvious means? Just curious.
@NinaTakesh

I am a stickler for no over decorating! It always looks a lot more polished when you have negative space. We do have recessed light at night. Thank you for the love and support ❤️
Where did you get the rug from!
I am interested to know where you get the beautiful silver curtain rod.
@NinaTakesh

That was provided by our curtain installer. I will try and find out what brand he used 😘
Nina, I love a sectional and was finally able to buy one Dec 2019. My goal is to purchase another sectional at the end of Dec 2021. I really want to change from a dark gray to a linen off white or dove gray sectional. I really need a performance material to combat messy kids. I cannot afford to spend $4K on a sectional. Would it be cheaper to get a performance material couch cover made for the sofa I have or will it cost just as much as a new sectional? If you think it’s cost effective to buy another sectional, where can I find one that has a better price point for me. I appreciate and advice you can give me. Thank you
@NinaTakesh
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Roslyn, it would be exponentially less expensive to buy a vintage sofa with amazing bones and quality and have it reupholstered in a performance linen!! Wishing you luck and thank you for watching!

Looks like Restoration Hardware blow up
Did nt like the vase on table between couch
To bad CA is not the place to live anymore
This interior does not have the finishes and millwork that reflect a luxurious home in Beverly Hills. There is a reason the doors close off views to other rooms. Looks more like a common builder grade house in an average American city.
It does not look child friendly and it does not look warm to the eye. It feels cold and boring.
Window covers👎🏼
Dear God woman this is simple,poor, awful carpet is ugly as hell plus I believe it costs an ARM AND A LEG, family room can accommodate max 5 people. Of course you placed a tacky 🎹 an imitation of sheep like chains and that elephant in the room is ugly ugly brown commode left to the entrance door. And lastly THANK YOU FOR CLARIFICATION on GREIGE....😮 WOW. We're starstruck
