Yeah haha at Tesco you can get noodle packs for 14P... like that's INSANE, and I love the chicken ones. I've never tried the curry ones but I'm sure they're just as nice. You can throw some spice in the water you boil it in and maybe add some veg and it's such a nice meal for less than a pound

"frozen veg get soggy when boiled" HONEY I'M HERE TO PUT YOU ONNN Okay so instead of boiling them, use some oil of your choice and let it get a tiny bit bubbly and put your (still frozen) vegetable on there and put nothing more in there for a while and cover it with a cap(but leave a tiny space) so the veggies will leave their own water in there by the ice melting. Pour the exess water in the sink or whatever and just slightly fry the veggies. Then spices and all AND THERE YOU HAVE GOOD ASS VEGGIEE TO USE IN MEALS

@@budekins542 yeah about that.... how long is going to need to vaccinate everyone vulnerable? Until summer 2021 we will have tiers.... and then September will have flu season again and people will need to vaccinate again like with the regular jab...and we will definitely have even newer variants every year.... we will need something for those.... definitely not 10 years to come back to normality but realistically might take 5 years since this started during which we will have some restrictions, even loose ones and for specific periods only... what leaders used to say about sorting this out in 12-18 months is not true... and its better to be mentally prepared than getting all pumped up for xmas and then getting locked in for nye...

@@valenciathompson6689 chilli is a dish that consists of tomato sauce, beans, corn and spices (and probably some more things). If you add ground meat, such as beef, it becomes chili con carne (with meat), if not, it’s just chili, or chili sin carne (without meat).

“Sleep routine, we don’t know her” Felt that 😂😂 since quarantine I’ve been getting to sleep by 4-5am and waking up at 9 am 👀👀, not by choice btw

I've been trying to stick to this budget for the past year - Aldi is definitely doable although I do tend to stretch it a little to about £15! I have started to cut out the branded stuff and it makes a huge difference!

You can tell that Taz doesn't cook from the sheer happiness on her face when she ate a baked potato 😂😂

It's actually crazy how much food prices can differ in terms of regions/countries - when my boyfriend and I lived in the UK, our average food shop was 40-50 pounds (and lasted us around one and a half weeks, two if we were crafty), but in Germany we find it's pretty much 50 for just one week!

You can cook too much homemade beef stew & freeze some. Also red onion, fresh garlic & a fresh chopped chilli pepper is nice in mashed potato, which you can freeze. Saves cooking fully every night then. Just boil some veg each night then! Or buy those four portions of microwave veg🤣🙈

Normally at uni I live on like £10 a week sometimes push the boat out to £15 I know its not for everyone but my biggest tip is to make things like spaghetti Bolognese or chilli and youll most likely make 2/3 portions so portion it out into tupperware and freeze it that way you only have to cook 2/3 times a week and sometimes i manage a week and a half on £10 that way

UK’s in its third lockdown... love it. I leave the house twice a week compared to the five times when college was open.

In Ireland I spent about 18 pounds every week, and now in Sweden I spend almost double that because food is so damn expensive here, especially fruit and veg!

It would’ve been such a good idea if you put some of that chili mixture paste (just the sauce part) into your fish finger sandwich! So that it didn’t taste so dry with only fish fingers and bread , it would’ve tasted amazing!!

About every two weeks me and my mum have no meat for the week only veg based meals and it saves so much money! Things like veggie chilli, veggie curry and pasta bakes which we have for two days . Love da video

The best strategy is always looking for the most convenient price not the lowest price if you want to "survive" by yourself without spending too much or wasting food. It happens a lot that family sizes foods are cheaper then usual sizes but you should eat all by yourself and they can't be stored for long time even in fridge, same for fruit! Looking frequently for discounts (I always check them before going to buy groceries and do a little list of items I need knowing already how much I'm gonna spend that day) and shopping in the latest hours is always the best. If you have enough free time cooking your own bread with single items is way more cheaper than buying it (same for pizza, sweets etc)💖

I just remembered a meal I used to cook when I was a super broke single-parent. I would fry onion and garlic, add a tin or so of cheap baked beans and black pepper. Stir until good and thick, add mild cheddar cheese chunks until soft, but still firm, then add spaghetti (plain. The shapes are usually more expensive) and mix thoroughly... da! da! a meal. My daughter loved this dinner so much she would ask for it.
