There are two things i think foreigners often miss out on when visiting Stockholm. One of them is Gamla Stan” or “Old town”. Its the center on which modern Stockholm branches out from with most buildings coming from the years 1600 to 1700. Very beautiful architecture! Another thing is the royal palace. Parts of the palace is open for the public along with guided tours with things like the royale treasuries and seeing the royale guard march. Unfortunatly, due to my young age at the time, I can’t really remember most of it. Overall, great video! Loved to see a non European view on my country! Keep it up! 🇸🇪 💙💛

"Swedish fish" are from USA but I do believe they were started by Swedes and are supposedly similar to some Swedish candy (I haven't tried them). Swedes love cheese. Traditionally it's stored hard cheeses for the breakfast sandwich.
It is funny that I recognized the cemetary without ever being there, thus recognizing the old church, and the older ruins, and the bustop...and sure it was Sigtuna where you held up...and I figured no wonder, as it is situated pretty close to Arlanda Airport. And if I may say so, it is a good choice to stay there if you want to learn about Sweden, as it is one of the oldest towns there is in Sweden.

I think it's about how your body responds and also if the food actually tastes good past the spice. I don't deal well with spicy as I don't get an endorphin rush from it and my brain just translates it as pain and makes me a little panicky. But, I had some spicy thai food and it was so delicious (Korean spice is really tasty too) that I pushed through because it actually tasted good. Spice for the sake of it is something I do not like. I'd be mad if someone made something full of heat, but no flavor to add to it. I'm just like "why you ruin my food?" but if there is flavor from the thing making it spicy, then I can be onboard even if I'm still in pain LOLOL.
You're so brave to buy salty licorice. Im so curious if you ended up liking it. Miss Sweden so im watching your vlog. I subscribed!🌸 //Maria
My best tip for a summer visit, is to go out to Waxholm (which you did) and then take a boat (preferably a old steam ship) out to Finnhamn or Möja. For vegan food and a view, try Hälsans hus, good food and best view of Old Town. For a food experience (non-vegan), try Punk Royale. And go swim at Långholmen, swimming and looking at the city is nice. Avoid 7/11, we´ve got loads of nice cafeterias or sweet shops :-) For a bit of Asia in Stockholm, try Arc rooftop restaurant and Yasuragi spa.

I'm so happy you decided to visit our country! Hope you had a good time, it was funny to see you get excited about trying the different swedish snacks haha. If you come here again you gotta try raggmunk med fläsk och lingon, it's delicious and a true swedish delicacy (it's actually just pancakes with potatoes in them and with a side of pork) And yeah we don't usually like spicy food however those who do, like me, LOVE it. Also you gotta travel more to the countryside, swim in a lake during summer, that's peak Sweden. Thanks for the vlog, it was very entertaining :)

Daim is a type of candy made by Marabou(Swedish company started by a Norwegian). Crunchy almond caramel covered by milk chocolate. Original is a chocolate bar form. But you can get it in several shapes and sizes. Like in pellet form. They put Daim in ice cream, baked goods etc. So if you see a Daim cake it means the cake has Daim in it. Canada(?) made candy based on Daim called Skor bar.

for anyone wondering, 1 week of this stuff shes doing in Stockholm, is like $1000-1500 at least -foods 2-3x a day $15-30+ each -snacks shes buying a few of here and there are $2-5 each -hotel is probably $100-150+ a night -travel is like $20-40 each ride -clothes are $20-80 each, depending alot more stuff that ive probably forgot
Pressbyrån is actually more like a Swedish 7/11 even though 7/11 has become relatively big in Sweden during the last 10-15 years. Though Pressbyrån did really start as a newspaper (and other printed things) stand. Also, Daim isn't a company name, it's that type of candy (hard "toffee" covered in milk chocolate). The company that owns the Daim recipie is Marabou, one of if not THE most popular chocolatiers in Sweden.
Thank you. A very beautiful portrayal of Sweden.
Buying the salt liquorice gosh how brave, theres also a lot more to see in Sweden than just stockholm glad I got this video pop up in my recommended was an enjoyable one.

Great quality video for such a small channel. Well done! Keep up the good work :)
the long hotdogs are danish, not swedish. But many of us prefer them. Pressbyrån is a "convenience store" by trainstations or larger busstations. While we do have Coop too, the swedish Coop is ICA. We have the superior Hot cheetos, They are called Flaming hot cheese crunchers
Pressbyrån is the same as 7eleven, we also have Coop. :) Buying snacks etc in pressbyrån/7eleven is like paying double the price, better that you go to grocery stores! Also "Swedish fish" - I do believe a Swedish company is behind it but it is made for the American market afaik.
Regarding the Supermarket, I'd say that is sort of mid-sized. And the selection was pretty typical for an ICA store. We don't tend to have quite as much of a variety of spicy foods, but I think there's one or two different kinds of most of the stuff the average person would need for a "Non-Swedish" cooking recipe, for lack of a better term. There are often smaller immigrant-run stores that sell imported Asian, middle eastern, Indian and similar foodstuffs and spices too though :)
Omg you're gorgeous 😍 Great vlog!
Hiii I’m Swedish and did you know that the helmets Vikings wear were not what they did wear when they were alive. The helmets were illustrated on a Viking in an art piece in the 1800s. And since then we pictured that Vikings had helmets.❤

I would recommend to go to Hemköp, Willys, LIDL, ICA or Coop to buy some candy, it's so much more expensive at Pressbyrån. Happy that you liked Sweden! There is some golden places to go to. Slussen have some vegetarian places, so do Medborgarplatsen. And you can take buses/trains to beaches not too far away. Gröna Lund is with a tram away from T-Centralen and also Skansen where you can meet all types of different animals. Hötorget have one of the biggest cinema places together with buffet and more just across the street from it. Also; a pretty new thing in Stockholm is also: Mall of Scandinavia, it's supposed to be really big! Hope you enjoy your continue travels and having a really nice time in general!

Omg that’s actually so cool that u visited Sweden that’s were I live!!!❤️
Wondering if I should write anything negative, but I am happy to see that you were extremely lucky finding all the nicer places. I have lived in Sweden for nearly 50 years, so am more Swedish than English now. I had many wow experiences on arriving here as someone´s boyfriend, yet that soon wore off. It was so much cleaner than the UK, yet now I used to it and expect a better standard. The UK was terrible with rubbish blown into channels, railways etc, not nice to see. I also thought that Sweden had very little food culture of it´s own. Yet baked bread and confectionary looks much healthier. Yet the UK has no food culture either, they borrow from all the other countries. A roasted duck is about as good as it gets, yet not too healthy. You only got to see very nice places, so you were lucky this time. The architecture is only practical or functional at best here, as they let the mediums steer up most of the time. Very simple, clean and yet hard without feeling. No they do not have Castles here, they call a large Manor or Estate property a castle! Quite funny. Finally their love for shrimp if found everywhere and that Meatball dish with Lingon berries, was their national meal! Would have been nice to hear more from you regarding the Sauna and if it was ok? Pretty cold I expect, yet not everyone can afford one at home. Like your country, people are very materialistic which is a shame, two cars outside and gadgets for everything, yet time will make them better I guess
As a Swede, I loved this so much!! 🌸🫶 Thank you for this lovely vlog :) Also my cousin’s dad is like a co-owner (I think?) of Pontus in the Air, the restaurant you are at in the airport :O (I just thought that was cool 😭) Really enjoyed this video, thanks! :D 💕

Welcome back to Sweden ! 😊
The yellow candy from the beginning, called "Krówka" is actually Polish :D nice to see they like it.
Regarding candy. Norway has the best chocolate in the Nordics, our chocolate culture is related to the Swizz tradition although we've put our own spin on it. So arguably on par with the great chocolate nations of Switzerland and Belgium, or at least not far behind. (It's a bit of a matter of personal taste/preference) Personally I find the Icelandic regular and Finnish salty licorice the best. Sweden has great gummy candies. 3:19 Honestly the best sausages are probably Danish or German. That said we have some famous places selling them here in Norway too, in Bergen for instance. Also, in Norway we traditionally don't use a bun but instead use a flat bread of sorts made from potato. 4:43 There's a "Å" there, that's a separate letter from "A" with a different sound. Nordic languages have quite a few differences in how the letters sounds compared to English. 10:01 Nordic countries tends towards more herbs and preservatives like salt, smoking etc etc traditionally as far as flavours are concerned. That and just fresh food. That said immigrants have left a huge impact on the food culture in Nordic countries. 13:20 Don't worry so much about it. Granted the Swedes are the most up tight of all the nordics. But even they won't think about a bikini as any different from being fully dressed... Remember that historically our region has been pretty chill with nudity, especially in the Finno-Ugric areas and fown south in Denmark and the areas that's more Frisean. 13:31 Well, bathing in literally ice covered water is normal here... So water that's clear like this is practically warm for us. 13:48 That's one area where the Swedes are definitely ahead of us here in Norway, they got way, way more vegan and vegetarian food. That said we got some good stuff here too, at least in the cities like Oslo, Trondheim etc.
2:41 the perfect style
