I visited Savannah last May after visiting New Orleans, LA. I have to confess Savannah is a lot more classier than NOLA. Savannah is a strong #2 as a place to relocate to. New Bern, NC is my #1 a lot of similarities between the two towns.

Every year we vacation in Hilton Head. I like to play golf and use the Golf Now App for good deals. Last year I got a good deal on a round in Savannah. It was a little farther away than I would usually go but thought "Hey, I'll get to add a GA logo ball to my collection". I went across that bridge into the city and felt like I was launching into space, LOL. I took a picture but unfortunately the camera on my phone doesn't do it justice. I saw very little of your city, but I got the impression it's an historic place. Alas I still did not get to see an alligator. We have vacationed the area for 22 years now, and zero alligators. We hear the stories but I tell my wife and girls that they must be a myth like Sasquatch. I played a round one year at Hilton Head Lakes with two gentlemen from Savannah the year they built it. My ball landed in a wooded area and they said if I went in there after it I may not come out. But they seriously seemed more worried about spiders than alligators.

Hi Felipe! Bryan County (Richmond Hill) and Effingham County (Guyton and Rincon) are known for their good schools, and the schools on the east side of Savannah on the islands are as well. As for violence, it's a city and any city has crime. The worst I've personally experienced was someone breaking into cars in our neighborhood. As for being close to SCAD, I'd say the Victorian district or Midtown or even the Southside would be closest,. I'd be happy to go into more detail if you need more advice. Just email me at karin@georgiacoasthomes.com.
