I moved from Los Angeles August 2022, we relocated to Meridian. Best decision, we love it here. Street traffic is frustrating but manageable.

I'm looking to move from the UK back to the US. I was raised in FL. I want to branch out and go somewhere else and looking at Idaho. I'm a CNA in the UK and I want to continue this work in the US as well so looking at CNA jobs in Idaho. Looks like Idaho pays pretty well compared to other States.

We're moving to Meridian in June. Our house is currently being built. We visited 2x. We were considering Eagle but the distance and traffic (infrastructure) in Eagle are not worth it. Everyone we met has been super nice. I make 60 years old in June and I am sick of Libtards. I love the clean suburbs, well behaved people who are into working hard and saving money. I am sick of equity and Liberal policies. I love law and order and people who take responsibility for their actions. Meridian is just so centrally located close enough to Boise, the airport, trails, hiking, rivers, The Village, and it's growing. The poverty-level wages give me pause because I will need to find a full time job (a reason to wake up) for my health care for a few years but oh well. I am an empty nester.

Hello! This video was very informative, thank you! So I too am thinking of moving to Idaho. I’m coming from WA/OR. 😊 With that being said, I would love more locals perspective on the place. Is it an easy drive to the grocery store, dispensary(my bf smokes a lot.), and restaurants, malls? Affordable rent, or is there a better city? Easy to find employment? Brown person friendly? It’ll be my first time out of state so I am a lot of terrified lol 😅. Thanks so much in advance!

Not odd at all. I’ve lived in Idaho for 28 years, specifically Boise, Meridian, Caldwell, Emmett, Twin Falls, Jerome, Hailey and Middleton. Northern Idaho has always been better known for its racism. I’m white, and have never lived up North, so I can’t really speak to the racism in the area well, but I’ve heard things over the years and wouldn’t recommend the area for persons of color. Southern Idaho is a predominantly white area. The Hispanic population continues to increase and there is some tension there, especially among the older Idaho population. Keep in mind, Idaho has some of the lowest crime rates in the nation. No matter your ethnicity, your chances of being safe and welcomed is very high. If you’re black, Idahoans will ask silly questions that are clearly racially stereotypical but does not come from a place of hate. Might be a bit awkward is all. There’s a virtually non-existent Asian population. I’ve never heard anyone say anything negative or stereotypical of any person of Asian descent in Idaho. All in all, Idaho is welcoming to all races. What it isn’t doing well is welcoming out-of-state people. I’d caution you on getting your license plates updated immediately if you do move to Idaho. If you’re from California, I’d limit how much that’s mentioned.

Yeah I'm African American and Id be coming from Oregon lol so I understand where the California slander comes from. Meridian/Boise Is really appealing to me and my family but being black I always have to keep that in the back of my mind unfortunately.

Oh jeez, ive only heard that Idaho is filled with nice people.... i see that may not be true. I am looking to raise my children in Idaho because of the schooling and recreational activities.. not coming to change anything, just wanting a better life.
