Living in Helge Ingstads Winter Quarters

During the summer og 2017, Vidar Bruun and Christian Sverdrup Engelschiøn from Norway left for a six weeks expedition out on the tundra in Nortwest Territories, Canada. Their goal was to be dropped some hundreds of kilometres northward and into the natives own, sacret land: their old hunting grounds; their Thaidene-Nene, "The Land of the Ancestors"
Out there, they were going to find back to the old campsite of the norwegian trapper Helge Ingstad; the site he spent the winter of 1929-30.
In this video, Vidar and Christian gives you a glimpse of everyday life in basecamp; what did they do? What did they need?
As you may see, being out in the wilderness, that is not an extreme exercise. It's just a question of daring - and being prepared!
