its a very different place to when i worked for yorkshire water on harehills lane back in 1987- its horrible today- it feels very run down

@@joyskiies9709 it was never perfect, it had its problems in the past but it was never this bad, its become a grubby, overcrowded, run down shit hole - the area looked less impoverished during victorian times?! -

You can buy a terraced house for 120K here in Harehills while in the rest of Leeds, you won't even get a garage for that price.

its a mess full of desperation , despair & grotty housing- what gets me is why do they keep on filling the place up with every man and his dog?! theres no community spirit anymore, just waves of poor people/dysfunctional families moving in & out & making a mess everywhere , its disgusting on the eye, door grills,window grills, discarded rubbish all over & the constant wiff of malevolence in the air! the place represents everything that is wrong about the concept of mass immigration total failure!!!!!

If you go to Leeds or meet a person from Leeds, ask them if they have heard of harehills and you will get a colourful review of how ugly this suburb is. It is popular with only one nationals.

Pakistanis? A lot of them have moved out, up the road into Oakwood/Gledhow area. There seems to be more and more Eastern Europeans and Africans in Harehills nowadays.

Other than to visit Anand Sweets, no Indian dares to visit Harehills

Harehills is one of the poorest areas in Yorkshire with highest number of BMWs, Audis registered !!

Avoid shops that display green flags. They are criminal hotspots.

I feel sorry for poor Polish, Latvian, Llithuanian and black African people because they live here as they can't afford to live anywhere else.

the place was once a decent working class area, even right up until around the late 80's but since immigration levels went insane its gradually become a third world festering dump full of crime, poverty & social problems immigration has made the UK even more backward than it was before!
