This is now June 2024. The entire downtown area of Hagerstown has been turned into a massive roadblock of the unreal blockage and backing up of cars due to the building of a Stadium in the very middle of the residential area from Washington Street (40) to City Park and from South Potomac Street to Burhans Blvd (11)!The building is huge and everyone except the few who attend, hate it as the obstruction that it is! If this makes you scratch your head imagine the noise of full blast commentary and Fireworks and absolute loss of residents being able to park by their own homes. If you make another video, be sure to include this! People are having to to wait through 3 or more lights to just get 1 block!

Thank you so much! The place just opened a few weeks ago and it is unbelievable particularly for me as the only resident left on my street and I will not 😂give up my 79 year lifetime family home. No sane person would even conceive of something this absurd!

Rule #1: As a 25-year resident in a very nice neighborhood in Montgomery County, I can say that getting away from the Washington DC metro area will increase your happiness and longevity. Like at least 150 miles away. Rule #2: You will be dead soon. Like really soon. 80 years is not much time for living, so don't make the mistake of wasting precious years of your life living in area that is full of congestion and torment, or that is so expensive that you have to work long hours at a high-pressure job just to afford the cost of living. Rule #3: You can't take your money with you. Apparently, there are a lot of folks living in the DC metro area and other big, busy metro areas like Boston and NYC who believe that the purpose of their living on Earth is to accumulate massive amounts of wealth. Unfortunately for them, the purpose is to be happy and to make others happy before you are dead. And you can't be happy if you are miserable and spending your time commuting instead of being at home with your loving spouse and your adorable children. Therefore, as nice as Frederick and Hagerstown are, you will not be happy and your daily presence on the roads will not be making other residents happy either. Please evaluate your priorities in life before it is too late.

Hagerstown is sort of trapped in exurb status, like Martinsburg and Chambersburg. I always found it more pleasant to be in than Frederick. The last time I was there, it still had a thriving mall.

North Hagerstown is a hidden gem. I don't like Frederick, city/road layout is not as good as Hagerstown. I just feel more claustrophobic in Frederick than I do Hagerstown. Frederick also has Ft. Detrick..nobody wants to live close to that and all the chemicals in that area.

@@movingtomaryland I grew up in Montgomery Co. MD and moved here 6 years ago. In the last few years, all my new neighbors had moved from Montgomery Co. too lol. I know why Hagerstown gets a bad rap...the people that drive through never make it past Rt 40 at exit 32. That stretch of road is bad and can be off-putting to visitors. If they would've drove just a little bit past that, they would find an nice oasis in North Hagerstown to Maugansville, right near the PA line.

I want a good community for my children more so then the price. I'll tell anyone Frederick 😂 especially lake linganore or Monrovia my favorite. there are so many more nice communities in Frederick.Amenities and you have downtown Frederick which has restaurants and carol Creek I can go on . that's why when I'm ready to buy Frederick here I come.

Now you can add a downtown baseball stadium for hagerstown. I moved up to htown 10 years ago. It's grown so much and continues to rise. Get in now before it rivals frederick in median home prices..... since Amazon had come in. I'm from alexandria va originally and i commute to DC everyday.

Every place a middle-income family can afford is a dump. Only the rich can afford the really nice areas, and it's been this way for centuries. So don't tie your happiness to where you live. Tie it to those with whom you are spending your precious time. Have cookouts at your dumpy home in your dumpy neighborhood and laugh with your friends and family as you chow down on delicious burgers and hot dogs. If you do this, you will be happier than most of the rich people living in their fancy neighborhoods. Most rich people are miserable and know their life is not truly satisfying. They often find this out when they discover that their trophy wife has been banging the pool boy for two years.
