It makes me so happy to see an Asian KZreadr sharing their Chinese heritage! As much as I adore Korean/Japanese culture, Chinese culture doesn't get as much love on KZread or in the media in general. Thanks for being a positive influence in the space :) P.S. I didn't get to say goodbye to my grandmother in Beijing because of covid, I hope you're cherishing every moment with your family.

Sadly there are reasons for this, but will get political.
With KZread banned in China, it's great to see content that shows typical life in China. Props to the triple threat of speaking in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Same 3 languages as me, although my Mandarin is pretty bad still.

Omg youtube is banned in china?! Why😢
@DoctorRyanQuincy
7 ай бұрын
@@hiilol Google left China in 2010 after it was unwilling to comply with one of China's internet security laws. KZread went along with it since it's owned by Google. It's still easily accessible through VPNs however which are widely used by Chinese Internet users.

The pandemic really took such a big toll on family connections 😞 I’m very lucky to have this opportunity because I also worried that they wouldn’t be here post restrictions being lifted. I’m sorry for your loss - sending you a big virtual hug and lots of love ❤
Please share more vlogs from your trip if you can! This was such a wholesome, interesting and informative vlog to watch! I've never watched a vlog like this made in China before and TBH it changed my perspective / gave me some idea just how modern and relatable everything is.
I loved how it went from "i think this has alcohol" to giving it her all in karaoke. Love your videos and how proudly you show your Chinese heritage, is super interesting. Love from Puerto Rico
Beautiful, I love China! My husband comes from China, he's from Fushun. I hope to go one day to meet my family in law and showing our daughter, I look forward to it! Thank you for showing!

Mandarin is universal. Each region also has its own dialect. There is a saying in China called "Ten miles of different sounds, a hundred miles of different languages" There are tens of thousands of languages in China. Cantonese is just one of them. China from ancient times to the present. All have different official languages. But the local language has not changed.
Thanks for sharing! Will you be working during this time?
