OMG!! I went to school there. I went to Seton Hall for my Masters Degree. I can't believe I am watching the street I use to run up and down to catch the train back to Manhattan. I worked on 3rd Ave but lived in new Rochelle so I was running for the train all the time trying to get to class or going back home. They also have a connection to the path and the NJT gets you into Manhattan in less than 30. South Orange is amazing! They also have the theatre there where they have concerts and plays and all that jazz, it's called SOPAC. Thank you Cash for giving me this little burst of nostalgia. 😃😃🤗

4900$ for a true luxury apartment is a great price. A lot of NYC apartments lack the space and quality to be genuine Luxury apartments and basically fool tenants into thinking it’s a luxury apartment.

How ironic that you say "trick tenants into thinking..." When you're basically brainwashed into thinking that almost $5k is "a great price" for rent on these places. Anyone who believes that much rent on _anything_ is acceptable is completely brainwashed. We're sliding into a bad situation where only those who make $200+k per year is entitled to a home...and you're tricked into thinking this is okay.🥺

The neighborhood and the train access to Manhattan both look good! Compared to most NYC apartments, you get a whole lot more in NJ for your money! The building is shiny new and offers many amenities, the rooms and closets are large, the finishes are high-end, and you have in-unit laundry and outdoor space. There's even garaged parking available to rent. I've run out of boxes to check. The value here makes it worth a few more minutes and a bit more train fare to get to work.

This is, hands down, the nicest building you've ever toured. I know that native New Yorkers always poo-poo Jersey, but for my money, you get so much more value. The 2-bedroom apartments in this building would easily run more than $6k/month in Manhattan. For $3400 in NYC, you can rent a small studio in a similar luxury building. Here, you get a massive 1-bedroom apartment, where you can live like an adult and enjoy real amenities. And the train into Midtown is the same commute as if you lived in Brooklyn. The taxes in Jersey are so much cheaper as well. That view of the mountains cannot be beat. New York has man-made mountains, but Mother Nature does it best.

A soft sofa, yummy food, and plush bedding, AND I got to watch the news. The next morning they took me to a freeway and let me have a nice coffee and a pastry. Finally a truly nice place. I see "luxury" being thrown around quite a lot in NYC but this is a real luxury building. It even has arcades. I've toured quite a few luxury buildings but that's something new.

That big common space in the second apartment you could almost use as a studio for yourself and rent out the bedroom that would cut the rent in half. That is if you don’t mind sharing the bathroom with a roommate. Both apartments are beautiful.

Now you're talking! South Orange NJ Next year, - or even now - check out East Orange near Brick Church station. It's 19 minutes straight into Penn Station, and they're building like crazy. Nothing beats civilized living.

Great place and area. Cheaper than a lot of apartments in Manhattan that don't look as nice. The amenities are also great. Nice for anyone who can afford it.

The 1 bedroom is THE best place I've seen out of the 100's that I've seen so far on this channel. ..tradeoff is obviously the distance into the city...but hell, still the best place.

Cash, this is the first video of yours that I have viewed; very nice. Let me say that first. As a resident of the area for over 3 decades, I can say that South Orange has changed drastically. It has gone from practically a ghost town (a lot of the stores were vacant) to a bustling town where parking is almost impossible to find on the weekend. Anyone who lived here, left for a few years and came back, would probably not recognize the village/town, with the number of "luxury" apartments buildings built over the last 10-15 years, with Taylor/Vose being the latest. And there are others under construction right now! That said, I watched the construction of Taylor /Vose and toured the complex when it opened. All the amenities, as you have beautifully shown in your video, are lovely. However, what is a great disappointment is the size of the apartments, more specifically, the bedrooms. I toured ALL of the units: 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms w/den, etc. The apartments are lovely, nice floor to ceiling windows. It's lovely that there is a vented out range over the stove and not a microwave, and that the washer and dryer are regular size. BUT the rooms are SMALL! Really, 27'x12' or 14' is a large space...SPACE (singular). It is not a large space if it accounts for 3 rooms; kitchen, dining and living room, as is the case at Taylor/Vose. Each apartment has an open floor plan, which is how most apartments and homes are built today. But when that space is broken up into other rooms, then you really are talking about the square footage of the space designated for each room. My husband and I toured the complex, as soon as it opened. We oohed and aahed over the amenities and left unimpressed because at the end of the day, you are not going to live in any of the amenity rooms. You are going to live in an apartment... in a fancy building (I might add) that just happens to have a lot of outside things going on. And some people may love that. But for my money, I need LIVING SPACE! Unless they have changed the rent prices since we were there, the largest apartment is over $7,000.00, and I do not think it's 1400 sq. ft. That's outrageous! I don't care what amenities are being offered...OUTRAGEOUS! None of the apartments are at 1500 sq.ft. You did a great job making the apartments you featured look huge. However, like you, I toured the apartments. They are not that big for all that money. There are 3 other luxury apartment buildings in South Orange, recently built (meaning past 10-15 years): The Avenue, Third and Valley and The Gateway. Seen them all. Third and Valley is the loveliest of the 3 with it's own pool, magnificent library and community room. However, I hear it's having problems. I will not reveal my favorite and why. New York residents may find this Taylor and Vose fabulous (and it is in some respects) and compared to NY rents, cheap...or at least cheaper. The train being only a block away is certainly attractive. Years ago, New Jersey Transit South Orange became a NY Direct stop. Of course, property values instantly went through the roof. I guess it's all relative. It's all about how people want to live and what they are willing to pay to live that way. if you've got it and don't mind spending it, and it meets your needs...great!
