    I don't have a toothpaste idea. But, Witch hazel vs. Micro Cellular washes is a long time family secret. It is a great natural toner, but has so many other uses. Cheaper and better. I love your resourcefulness. Also just make a swivel for you kitchen spicket to rotate outside though a window, and have a wrap around curtain. I've seen it on several vans. Peace!

    Clair I honestly don’t know why you would ever want to wear makeup anyway, you’re beautiful just the way you are! I have been preparing for van life in my home for years by only showering 2x,s per week mostly to save water. I do have a bidet though i use every day for the essential bits. You didn’t really talk about that( maybe too private) I was counting on the solar camp shower,that Ive only used on the dog.LOL

    Something you may want to check out: camping shower wipes. They are supposed to be as good as a shower for your body. You can get biodegradable ones on Amazon, if you have somewhere to get it shipped. It’s less than $15 for a pack of 45. I haven’t used them but they do have good reviews.

  • @ChadandClaire

    @ChadandClaire

    3 жыл бұрын

    About five years back, I was over-bleeding during my period, and I got an IUD to help with that issue. Ever since then, I have only spotted during my period, which has been extremely convenient while living in the van. I carry a menstrual cup with me, but I have never needed to use it, since toilet paper was enough to catch the spotting and easier to dispose of. I definitely cramp like crazy, and that's a pain that I've always had to deal with. Since moving into the van, I've had to further navigate dealing with the pain, especially when they come out of nowhere on longer hikes. I'm definitely very fortunate to not have a heavy blood flow anymore, and I know that's not the case for most women! Sorry I couldn't really give much advice on this topic, but I hope this helps a bit!!!
