You guys are doing such a nice job with your routines that include baby care! Your little is adorable. So considerate of you regarding the local people and not wanting to be disrupting their lives. I have heard that California is becoming stricter with overnight camping in certain spots probably due to complaints. It’s unfortunate that some folks are so messy with trash etc as well! We try our best, litter and parking are the main complaints around vans so we prefer to try and be mindful as much as possible

I suppose in the US we call them a French Press, but that's what we use for coffee and we don't even live in a van! Makes great coffee, weighs next to nothing, no electricity required,easy to clean. I also use it for loose leaf teas and that way don't have to put a ball in my cup, which for some reason I always don't have handy. Love your videos! Keep up the good work!

I think the French press is the same as the cafetière which we have. We like it but the cleaning is a bit of a pain. Love the idea of making loose leaf tea in it though! Never thought to do that. Many thanks ☺️

Binge watched the videos on the progress on the van build. Have to say it looks brilliant. Congratulations on the van and congratulations on becoming parents, no better feeling becoming 1. Hopefully next year (when my mortgage is paid) I can set about doing my own van build for which I will take something’s that you have done and put my own spin on it. Again, well done.

Ah thank you very much. Yeah it’s a massive change but we’re really loving being parents. That’s the best way to do it, lots of our van is borrowed and adapted and inspired by others, just adapted to suit our needs and, as you say, with our own spin on it 😀

What about a Moka pot? much easier to clean - you only need to clean out the little filter (the used coffee comes out as a brick) and a quick rinse of the top!

HELLO happy family i like you all three, you are so good when it comes to parking with campervan in scotland in general it's nice and there are a lot of places where you can park without problems and that as you already know there are always people who don't like it. I go to Scotland 5 years 3 times a year and I only had a problem 2 years a go in the back on the spot on Achnahaird Beach in North West Highlands about parking space but in the end we solved it.

An Aeropress is very easy to clean compared to a cafetiere, especially if you use the paper filters - after pressing the coffee through, unscrew the plastic grill, point the Aeropress towards your (compost?) bin and press the plunger and a pellet of compressed grounds pops out. Then rinse the Aeropress.

That’s just what we do, works a treat! The Aeropress comes with various bits you don’t need in the van, so ditch those as they just waste space.

Ok great, many thanks. We’ll have a bit more space once we get rid of the e cafetière! Although there’s no point in trailing about with bits we don’t need either so if we go with the Aeropress we’ll do just that 👍

Making our bed in our van is a pain. I usually just fluff up the blanket and pillow, stretch to the edges, and that’s it 😆(we use our converted van as our tiny vacation home on wheels).

Hario V60 is awesome for filter coffee on the go. Very little mess (you throw the filter paper away with the coffee grounds) and pretty cheap to buy. Get two and you can make both at the same time!!

About coffee, use cafeteria plunger ( we actually drink our coffee with the grounds it just doesn't bother us) and a hand coffee grinder or an electric mill, thats what we use when we travel 😊 I just realized this is a year old video 😂, anyway ill post it🎉, kudis to you for having a baby full time in a camper absolutely awesome 👍🏻

We invested in an aeropress after lots of viewers recommended that and we love it! So if you ever want to go “grounds free” then it’s definitely a great option 😀

Hey! I thought I’d reply to James’ question about coffee. So me and my boyfriend are converting our van at the moment hoping to set off soon. He’s a massive coffee lover and has used an aeropress every day for ages but for Christmas is bought him a bialetti moka pot which he now uses every day in replacement. He said it’s a bit easier to clean and use but is hoping to still take both in the van if we have space. He said they’re similar levels of taste but the moka pot he thinks will be better for the van. We have a gas hob which you need a specific make for so just make sure you find one suitable for that :) also said if you’re looking for a new ground coffee then the Aldi columbian one is the best he’s found for the price. Hope that helps!! X

Ah amazing! I’ve never heard heard of a moka pot so I’m going to get straight on Google to check it out 😀 The cleaning bit is crucial because we really don’t want loads of coffee grounds going down the sink and clogging our waste tank up. Thanks so much for the recommendation, much appreciated 😊

Aeropress is best for clear up if you can't put grounds down the sink, as it comes out all compressed in one dry hunk that can go straight in the bin (or in the composting loo as Alice says)

Hi, we get post sent to family members and we work for ourselves so don’t have payslips as such. Most stuff is possible to do electronically now so we’ve never really had an issue with this ❤️

We have a boy due in May - and I've been looking high and low for information about car seats for our 2015 Crafter but there's not much out there. I was thinking the car seat would have to go in the left side of the bench seat.. How do you find the rear-facing middle-seat solution? I'd love to know which model of seat you have as well. Thanks in advance!

Firstly congratulations!! And we had similar problems with finding info on which car seat. I don’t have details to hand but I’ll dig them out and let you know the model we have - it’s nothing fancy, just from Halfords but it’s one of very few we could find that aren’t isofix and will be suitable for a number of years. They double checked that it was suitable so we’re pretty happy with it. We love having her in the middle seat too, means both of us can see her and vice versa. And it doesn’t get in the way of the gear stick or controls either so it works great. Let me get back to you on the model 👍😊

Yes the French press is what we currently have, we just find it a little bit of a pain to clean and always end up washing some of the coffee grinds down the sink. We’ve had lots of recommendations for the aeropress so will probably try that 😀

I love the grand houses, big private garden, etc… but you have freedom of so much things, meaning mortgage, bill, bill and bill. You can travel and enjoy life, cause you save money of sh***t stuff.
