@@shivtim I agree. I guess it depends. I know some people in grad school and living outside of their home city or country and they're not in the mood to put down roots or spend a lot of money. So they get a very basic utilitarian setup since, let's face it, grad school is research, sleep, eat if you're lucky. But as someone who has always been an apartment dweller, I choose mine based on longevity and livability. Even if I know i'll only be there for one lease term.

I would agree with him that the upper balcony isn't the best for socializing, since guests would have to walk through your bedroom to access it. And it's also much narrower. I'd use the bottom for socializing, but I'd definitely use the top for myself. I'd have a little lounge out there, fr.

I remember when cash showed this apartment, and I thought this is one of the best, unique apartments in city hands down. And it's still one of the best apartments in city. I would say it's even better because of how he set up the apartment. His place could have been in a scene from the original teenage mutant ninja turtles movie. That's how cool his place is to me. I hope he enjoys this apartment for as long as he wants to be there.

3k a month is the mortgage payment for a 5 bedroom house on 5 wooded acres of land in Vermont. It's actually less than 3k. This guy is getting robbed. 😂

@@willymaykit1482Note how you said in Vermont. This apartment isn’t in Vermont. Note how you also mentioned the fact of it being 3K for a mortgage but then said it’s less than 3K. So is it 3K or is it less? You can’t have both. And if that’s just the mortgage how expensive does the house and land actually cost. At the end of the day he is actually paying less than he would for this 5 bedroom home you mentioned. He doesn’t pay property tax, doesn’t pay for upkeep, doesn’t have a mortgage, and doesn’t have the ridiculously high house payment plus whatever down payment he would have to pay to purchase this metaphorical 5 bedroom home in Vermont.

This has to be one of my Favorite living spaces and I love the tenants positive/friendly attitude. At the beginning with the auxiliary boiler; never knew that was a temporary option. Extremely creative. Great way to begin the week.
Usually NYC rents are insane but this place actually feels worth the money.
😂😂 @ 5 minutes of fire wood. I love this place minus the tiny kitchen. Very unique.
Fantastic episode! I think you should show more after videos of the apartments that you feature once people have moved in... if they're open to that. It's nice to see them as a home instead of just an empty unit.

Definitely a fun apartment. You probably find spare people on Sundays leftover from Saturday night! LOL!
..."but his attitude was priceless..." one of the best ever Cash quips said!!!! What a beautiful, cozy space!!! (I would use that hobbit space for storage for sure lol!!!) Amszing decor, smooth movement through his living space, and what a bonues to have all of those outdoor spaces!! I'd save me some money and have an outdoor garden for sure!! And with a bar-b-que area, he has it made!! So cool to see he found this place because of one of Cash's videos. Great vid!!!!
Nice guy and a wonderful space!!! What a treat! Thanks for the tour!!😊
Great space! I'd never move either! ❤❤❤
I actually like this one and the dentist sense of humor
Gorgeous space! Don't worry about Ben, that rent is peanuts...one crown and rents paid.
Very cozy 🥰
I absolutely love this tiny home. It’s so nicely decorated, and the outdoor space is wild. $4,100 is a shell shocker for me. That amount of rent in the next two years could payoff my house in MD. That’s just cozy ❤
This a vibe tbh like a dream when you had a kid to live in a big city on a rooftop and your crib is a like a cozy hideout
I think this is one of my favorites yet
Although there are many flights to walk up and the kitchen is tiny, this is a great place for a single. Considering the number of days when you would actually want to spend time outdoors in NYC, three outdoor spaces is, indeed, excess, as is having two full bathrooms. But I can understand why this fellow would want to stay there indefinitely. Until the landlord realizes what a gem this is and doubles the rent. ;-)
This space is wonderful! It looks like the ultimate treehouse/treehome ✌🏾
You can tell he's been there a while because ..over time you learn how to rearrange, and then rearrange again to make use of small spaces.
Wow Cash this was a nice, nice place. He did a great job decorating, every room had a great feeling. I would definitely rent it if I could. But I don’t remember a laundry, I hope the building has one.😊

Cash never mentions this that I can recall, but oftentimes in the big city, you just find the nearest (usually Chinese) laundry. Usually they actually wash and dry by the pound and it's cheap. You get your stuff back all clean, sweet-smelling, pressed and folded. At least, that's how many of us handled our laundry long ago when I lived in San Francisco.

That is the summertime hangout place and since it is outside you don't have to worry too much about what people might mess up. Since the inside is small enough to give people the hint to either head home or head outside.
So love this place ! It's a good thing he likes to entertain because his place is a magnet for hanging out.

O M G! That place is amazing! $4100 is an absolute steal & in that neighborhood!! I'm impressed that he's carrying a bike up 4 flights of stairs! The only real negative I can find is there's no in-unit laundry but I'd deal with it for everything else you have.

Love all the furnishings and the plethora of outdoor spaces. In my mind, I'm out there with my Bustelo espresso enjoying the roar of the city. And wondering how many defective smiles Ben has to fix to pay one months rent. I'd say one, maybe two. I'm probably wrong because I'm not a dentist. Thank God. If your dentist was a sadist, how would you know? Things to contemplate on your balcony. If someone drools into your okra, how would you know? Hmmmmm
