We are sisters, Julia and Anastasia - caring for a regenerative farm on Bundjalung Country on the East Coast of Australia. We have a dream to build a self sustainable future and regenerate the land for generations to come. Join us as we learn to build, farm, garden, and care for the animals and land.
We live and farm on the land of the Arakwal and Minjungbal people of the Bundjalung Nation and these practices of regenerative living, agriculture and permaculture owe their roots and theories to Indigenous knowledge - they have been practiced by Indigenous People around the world for so many years. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country we live on, and recognise their continuing connection to the land and waters. We thank them for protecting this rainforest and its ecosystems since time immemorial.

Another great and inspirational video. The type and variety of fruits/vegetables that generations of your family have grown there are truly astounding. As an old Aussie bloke who has grown up in the Queensland Sunshine Coast, Central Coast and Toowoomba regions I have experienced quite a variety of fruit and vegetable products but some of those grown on your family property are new to me! I love the sheer agility and light-footedness of the presenter in this series. You are a delight to watch. Keep up the excellent enterprise. Your message is critical to the future not only of this country but Mother Earth herself. Great respect and admiration to all involved in this enterprise. Cheers 🤠🙏🤗🌹

Cedric Badger: They are very young. Nature will heal the land. God will heal THEM! We don't, as humans, have ALL the answers. As someone with a scientific background, I get this. HUMILITY (especially amongst "successful" humans), is a lofty goal, but one worth striving for. For me anyway! You're correct, the healing process started even BEFORE, the rain was over! We ALL need to realize just how blessed WE are. So much Jambu this year, Jackfruit, the next. "A Time and A Season". There are a lot of families down the mountains, in places like Lismore, who have been overwhelmed for sure.🙏🙏🙏

Seeing you and the fruit trees I thought of growing up in British Columbia Canada, seeing you climb the tree reminded me of us 6 kids climbing in Cherry, apple, plum, pear trees munching on fruit, going out in the morning on bear patron, or beating the goats to the fallen plums, prunes, now I live 6 months in Arizona, 6 in Canada, life grew me up so to speak. Carter, family, now I wonder " why can't we stay kids, carefree" I did love in Hawaii for a bit, loved the fruits, but always smelled the peaches from the Mainland, just didn't cut it, picked unripe. So stay carefree as long as you can, I go to the homeplace of my childhood, no structure, no gardens, no trees, all reclaimed by nature, no just waiting for a bulldozer to come, carve it up and plant homes, they are right next door, my 250 acre playground is now owned by a developer. Life moves on.

Thank you very much for explaining about the jambu fruit. I don't think I've ever seen that much fruit of any kind, on one tree! 😳The big, native plums, though sour, I'll wager, are way more flavorfull than any tame plum! Notwithstanding the floods, you seem to be looking forward to a truly abundant harvest....and THAT'S really something to be thankful for. Isn't it? You guys live in a wonderful place, in a country so rich in natural resources. Iron ore and coal are your biggest exports. A huge part of the coal goes to China, where it's used to produce power, as in most developing countries. The wind blows and that pollution gets distributed around our globe. And that's despite our best efforts in "first world countries", to reduce our footprint. I'm afraid the situation will continue to get worse. Bless you girls for having ideals and for practicing "regenerative farming, or as some call it (here in the U.S.), "sustainable ag". Your country has a lot of room to grow as its GDP is actually smaller than that of the State of Texas. BUT I kind of like that fact! Australia, west of the mountains, is really a lot like the Western U.S.(where I live), in the early 1800s. Truly, still a frontier. Room to BOOM! Unfortunately, it's largely up to your government. Will it ALLOW growth? I enjoy your videos so much. The fruit growing right outta the tree trunk BLEW ME AWAY!🙄🌴🌴🚜❤

I love your channel! I see trees as the worlds lungs replenishing our oxygen levels. Too many are needlessly cut just so we can have a open space for grass. What I wish most people could see is, when you look at a tree you are looking at years of carbon dioxide processing All stored in a tree trunk. The loss of the giant chestnut is sad but y'all should now harvest it if possible. First see if it is safe to do so including the route needed to get the logs out. If you have to get a local logging company to split the money with y'all and give it to them. It is great to see your mountain green and growing again loaded with harvest.

Because that was the best place to have those many seeds planted at, they would do well there. You might have the most interesting verity of fruit and veggies over there. Cool video !
